Bible Meditation:
Psalm 40: 1-11

I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry – Psalm 40:1

It is wonderful, but humbling, to know that the God of the Universe pays personal attention to the prayers of His people. God LISTENS to His people all the time. He hears our cry for help, and understands our needs before we ask. He is never overwhelmed by the concerns of billions of human beings on earth. He personally attends to the cases and the needs of those who trust in Him enough to wait on Him: “The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry” (Psa.34:15). Those that wait patiently for God never wait in vain, and will never be ashamed (Psa. 25:3).

David, in Psalm 40, did not reveal how long he had been waiting on the Lord in prayer. It is gladdening however that his waiting was not wasted. My waiting and your waiting on the Lord will never be wasted. Moreover, God INCLINED – took notice of, turned toward, leaned toward, gave intimate attention – to David, and HEARD his cry for help (Psa.40:1). I pray that the Lord will incline unto you and me, and hearken to our cries for help. God will listen to you attentively!

There is power enough in God to help the weakest, and grace enough to save the least worthy of all that trust in him. The Psalmist waited patiently; he continued believing, hoping, and praying. When God eventually answered David’s cry, the blessings came in torrents: God brought him up out of the terrible pit and the miry clay; established his feet upon a rock, making his footsteps firm; and plastered a new song in his mouth. Oh, that these would be our own experiences in Christ!

Prayer:
Lord, as I wait on You, grant me intimate attention that would guarantee an avalanche of blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
