Psalm 34: 1-10

“I will bless the LORD AT ALL TIMES; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” Psalm 34:1

Believers need to be intentional in cultivating the Attitude of GRATITUDE as KEY to PERSONAL IMPACT: “I will bless the LORD AT ALL TIMES; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psa.34:1). The Lifestyle of Gratitude is essential for every Believer in Christ to make an impactful life that honours God. Expressing gratitude is encouraged at all times and in all situations (1 The. 5:18). This means developing a habit of being thankful for both big and small blessings, since a lack of gratitude for small things can prevent receiving greater blessings. Gratitude involves recognizing God’s hand in our lives and appreciating the good things as gifts from Him. It reflects our overall attitude towards life. Gratitude is the best attitude in life!

Gratitude should be a lifestyle rather than a mere feeling. And, this Lifestyle of Gratitude is essential for Believers in Christ, as it aligns with God's Will and enables a positive impact on oneself and others. Expressing thanks consistently can enhance our relationship with God and promote a joyful life. Gratitude is an ongoing journey, positively impacting every aspect of life, community, and spiritual growth. As individuals express thanks in both joyous and challenging times, they unlock deeper rewards of faith and connection with God Key characteristics of the Attitude and Lifestyle of Gratitude include the following:

Gratitude as a Way of Life: Gratitude should be practiced at all times, acknowledging both big and small blessings from God (Eph.5:20). This habit is rooted in expressions of thanks, which can lead to a deeper connection with God.

Recognizing God's Gifts: All good things come from God, and recognizing His provisions is critical (Jam.1:17). Gratitude helps sustain a focus on what we have rather than what we lack, fostering a positive outlook.

Thankfulness in Tough Times: Gratitude is especially important during challenging situations. An attitude of thankfulness can transform perspective and promote peace, even in difficult times (Col.3:17).

Impact on Relationships: A grateful disposition enhances interactions with others, creating a more loving environment. Consistent gratitude not only strengthens personal faith but also positively influences community dynamics.

Visible Expressions: Gratitude should be active and visible, expressed through praise, worship, and kindness (Psa.26:7, 69:30, 106:1; Heb.13:15).

Emotional and Spiritual Benefits: Following a lifestyle of gratitude leads to inner peace and fulfilment (Phi.4: 6-7). Regular expressions of thankfulness are linked to greater emotional well-being and stronger relationships.

The Role of Scripture: Numerous biblical teachings emphasize the importance of gratitude. We as Believers are encouraged to incorporate thanks into our daily lives, making it a habitual practice. Gratitude or Thanksgiving can be taught (Col.2:7).

In essence, adopting a lifestyle of gratitude is crucial for Believers, as it guides us to recognize and appreciate God’s goodness. This consistent practice fosters personal joy and peace, strengthens community bonds, and interpersonal relationships.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
