THE HIDDEN WISDOM

But we speak the WISDOM of GOD in a mystery, even the HIDDEN WISDOM, which God ordained before the world unto our glory – 1 Corinthians 2: 7 (NKJV)

God has in stock, unique wisdom, surpassing Intelligence, superior Insight, and amazing mentality for His children (1 Cor.2: 5-10). However, this Wisdom of God is not open, but hidden. Although it is ordained unto our glory, it must be unveiled to our spirits, in order to be of practical benefit. “The depth says, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me” (Job 28:14). The depth (the philosophers) and the sea (men of means) have no access to this hidden wisdom. It takes a revelation by the Spirit of God to locate divine wisdom. It takes the Spirit of Wisdom to reveal the “Hidden Wisdom” of God!

Divine Wisdom is “hid” to the flesh: “From where then does Wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding?  It is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the birds of the air” (Job 28:20-21). No man was born wise. We were all born blank. What goes into you is what you use to determine your destiny. Divine Wisdom is revealed, not reasoned out. God’s Word is His Wisdom; contacted purely by Revelation. To locate divine wisdom, you must locate God’s Word, which is the foundation of faith. You must then demonstrate your faith in the Word by putting it to work.

The Wisdom of God is received, not merely reasoned out. Of course, there is a place for reasoning with God in the light of His Word, but not fleshly reasoning. Wisdom is not man-made but God-revealed. Pharaoh knew this: “And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Forasmuch as God has shown to you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are” (Gen. 41:39). No one can lay hold on such wisdom through human calculation, reasoning or rigor. God reveals to those who fear Him (Psa.25:14).  And when God reveals an answer, it is supreme; but such an answer can only be spiritually discovered and discerned if they must be perfectly delivered to you (Dan.2:19)!

There is a mature wisdom from God that had been hidden from mankind, but has now been revealed through His spirit-led servants – apostles and prophets; and is now comprehended by spiritual persons. This Wisdom cannot be understood by natural people, but by the spiritual. Therefore, to truly benefit from all the Hidden Wisdom of God has to offer, we must outgrow carnality; we must grow in grace and knowledge by feeding on the Word (1Pet.2:1-2; Jam.1:21). Then, we’ll be true partakers of the “treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col.2:2-3).
