Bible Meditation:
Romans 8: 28-39

“Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified” – Romans 8:30

Beloved, join me to CELEBRATE CHRIST – MY DESTINY’S COMMANDER: “Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified” (Rom.8:30). Predestined, called, justified, and glorified! Only the Designer, Detailer, and Commander of my Destiny could accomplish such eternal feats! Destiny speaks of God’s purpose for my life; my appointed or ordained future; what the Lord God has predetermined me to be and to become, in His divine will. Christ is the Author and Finisher of my life’s unfolding story.

Christ is the Definer, Designer, Detailer, and Commander of my Destiny. He created me with a unique purpose in mind. He believes in me. He enlightens me to discover my destiny and empowers me to accomplish and fully fulfil it. He gives me the grace to always bounce back in life, no matter the temporary set-backs. He does not want me to ever be defeated in destiny. He who directed Joseph’s destiny from the pit, through persecution and the prison, to the palace, is directing my destiny. He who designed David’s destiny from simple shepherd-hood to kingship and royalty has designed and is detailing my destiny. He who correctly connected Ruth to her destiny helper, enhancer, and defender will connect me and all mine correctly. He who commanded Jabez’s destiny from ignominy and sorrow into worth and significance is commanding my destiny.

My Destiny’s Commander says concerning my future: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you…thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jer.29:11); “There is hope in your future…” (Jer.31:17a). His Word affirms: “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day” (Pro.4:18).

The world wants me to be steeped in self-centredness, and to pronounce myself as the master of my fate and captain of my soul; but I know better. I live under the Lordship of Jesus. He gives me a larger purpose to life than any selfish ambition I can ever imagine or scheme on my own. Christ Jesus is the Conqueror of my soul. He has become the Master of my fate and the Captain of my soul. In turn, He is transforming me into more-than-a-conqueror: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (v.37).

With Christ as Master of my fate, Captain of my soul, and Commander of my Destiny, I have nothing to fear: “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1Jh.4:18). In Him I “know that all things work together for good” because I love Him and I am among “those who are the called according to His purpose” (v.28).

Natalie Grant’s evergreen lyrics in the song, “In Christ Alone” come to mind:

“No guilt in life, no fear in death

This is the power of Christ in me

From life’s first cry to final breath

Jesus COMMANDS MY DESTINY

No power of hell, no scheme of man

Can ever pluck me from His hand

Till He returns or calls me home

Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand”

The Commander of my Destiny will ensure that:

  • my destiny is never aborted or truncated
  • my destiny is never diverted or demoted
  • my destiny is never corrupted or contaminated
  • my destiny is never tampered with or punctured
  • my destiny is never vandalised or destroyed
  • my destiny is shaped by God’s Word
  • my destiny is framed by the Power of Faith
  • my destiny is correctly connected to my enhancers and helpers
  • my destiny is defended against every dart in life’s battles
  • my destiny is flavoured with grace and favour
  • my destiny is decorated with excellence and distinction
  • my destiny shines ever brighter till the perfect day!

I will never cease to celebrate Him who commands my Destiny!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
