Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 32: 15-20

“My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” – Isaiah 32:18

The Perfect Will of God is for our Marriages to grow and transform into the IMPACTFUL HOME: “My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” (Isa.32:18). A harmonious, impactful home is not about the physical structure of the house, but is built on the Spiritual Foundation of Christ, and marked by peace, security, love, hospitality, and devotion. When we say, “I feel at home,” we mean: We are wholly at peace, feel accepted and appreciated; we have a sense of belonging and involvement; we are assured of privacy, protection, and security; and we have oneness and harmony with others in the home. Efforts to build a home are futile without the Lord’s involvement (Psa.127:1).

It is not every marriage that succeeds in becoming a Home. Too many young people settle for mediocrity in marriage, and a lot of people haven't even hit mediocre yet. But God desires that marriage be maximized productively as it becomes a home, where members of the family live and grow together in Love and Harmony. The wedding may be a one-day event, making a Home out of a marriage relationship is full-time work; it’s seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. It takes a greater degree of commitment to make our marriage, home, and family successful than any other thing, whether business, career, or study.

God planned the Home to be:

  • A place of refuge from all the turmoil and violence outside, where one is surrounded by love and peace
  • A haven of love where husband, wife, and children live with a sense of security and a feeling of acceptance and belonging
  • A place of emotional safety and a platform for spiritual partnership and growth.

When there’s warm acceptance and love in the home, children wouldn’t run from Christianity. They’ll desire to embrace it.

The high rate of crime and immorality among teenagers and youth isn't mainly their fault, but that of the parents. The children are products of the presence or absence of home. A study showed that a majority of youth engaged in prostitution came from families where there was no positive father image. They had a craving for what they never received from a deficient home. When children are raised in a harmonious home atmosphere, they're able to take a strong stand for Christ as young adults.

Positive couples and their children make a conscious effort to rule out ignoring, rejecting, and ridiculing from their relationships, thereby improving communication. Also, there is no place in the harmonious and impactful home for verbal or physical abuse. Berating, belittling, and mocking words spoken to one another depreciate the value of marriage and family relationships. Despite the demonic onslaught against marriages, the Grace of God is more than sufficient to help us build impactful Homes!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
