Bible Meditation:
Romans 8: 26-30

“...All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to HIS PURPOSE” – Romans 8:28b

Next to Salvation, Divine PURPOSE and WILL are crucial INGREDIENTS and DRIVERS of IMPACT: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to HIS PURPOSE” (Rom.8:28). Purpose is reason for being of anyone or anything. God made all things for definite purposes. We are His handiwork, created so serve His purpose as stewards of creation – to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and have dominion (Gen.1:26-28). “Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it” (Gen.2:10).

Ephesians 2:10 says: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” God has thoughts, plans and purposes for individuals, families, Believers, and the world: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jer.29:11). God’s plans and purposes validate His sovereignty and control over events. Discovering, pursuing, and living life with clear purpose, that’s aligned with God’s Will, are crucial for making significant and God-glorifying impact!

The discovery of divine Purpose gives life the right direction, helping us to know what to invest our lives in, where, and how. One cannot make maximum impact with a rudderless or aimless life. Purpose must be known and clearly defined. Our Lord Jesus Christ is our Perfect Model. He was not confused as regards His Purpose in life; hence, He was able to make an uncommon impact within just three and a half years of His earthly ministry. He was clear about His Purpose in life: “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for THIS PURPOSE I have come forth” (Mk.1:38).

Jesus said in John 12:27, “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for THIS PURPOSE I came to this hour.” John knew that the Lord lived a purpose-propelled life and later wrote: “For THIS PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 Jh.3:8b). God’s Purpose always aligns with His Will and both are accessible to renewed minds: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect WILL of GOD” (Rom.12:2).

God is ever-committed to fulfil His Purpose and Will: “I have PURPOSED it; I WILL also do it” (Isa.46:11b). His ultimate Purpose for us is to be “GLORIFIED” (v.30). If we’re to make God-glorifying impact in life, we must discover, pursue, and fulfill God’s Purpose and Will for our lives as Jesus did, others have, and many are doing.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
