“Let my cry come right into your presence, God; provide me with the INSIGHT that comes ONLY FROM YOUR WORD” – Psalm 119:169 (TMB)
There are dimensions of INSIGHT for IMPACT accessible primarily from the Word of God: “Let my cry come right into your presence, God; provide me with the INSIGHT that comes ONLY FROM YOUR WORD” (Psa.119:169, The Message Bible). The New King James Version uses the word “understanding” in place of “insight.” This final stanza of the magnificent 119th Psalm – a psalm that pays such a tremendous tribute to the perfection and power of the Word of God – began with a plea for INSIGHT that comes ONLY from the WORD of GOD. David referred to God’s Word in each of the eight verses: “Your Word...Statutes...Precepts...Law...Judgements, and Commandments.”
David was indeed a man after God’s Heart (1Sam.13;14; Acts 13:22). Even though he had abundant riches, he longed to understand God better each day; and to receive spiritual insight behind everything in life. There are often profound lessons in seemingly natural phenomenon. For example, like precious Gems and Treasures, God hides whoever He calls to do great exploits for His kingdom for a season before manifestation, just as a baby, during the nine months pregnancy season, remains physically unseen by even the mother until after birth.
Even now, there may be some things going on in our lives that God is using to teach us specific truths, if we’ll receive Divine Insight. No season is a waste before God. However, it depends on our perspective of sight. If we don’t pray and connect to God in order to understand the mysteries behind our current season, it’ll pass, and we may not learn a thing. As we connect to the Divine and fellowship with His Word, we’ll “see” differently from natural folks. Our Father will refine our motives and perspectives for envisioning the happenings around our lives.
God’s Word has present-tense relevance to all aspects of life – devotion, education, career, family, work, and ministry. The more we study His Word, the more relevant we discover it is to all of our contemporary concerns. Moreover, His Word is the most powerful tool for navigating the chaos and uncertainty in today’s world. Jesus is the Word made flesh (Jh.1:14). Therefore, when we spend time in God's Word, we aren't simply reading another book. We are spending quality time with our Lord and Savior; gaining insight into who Jesus is, His Character and Promises. We are learning directly from Him how to approach life, solve problems, relate, and achieve true and lasting success.
Scripture provides wisdom, direction, hope and help for every situation in life, guiding us in the direction of God's Will, giving life purpose, meaning, and potential to make a lasting impact. God's Word is powerful (Heb.4:12). His wisdom is timeless. It's as applicable to modern life as it was when the words were first spoken and written. Time spent in His Word is time spent in the very presence of Christ!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
