Bible Meditation:
Proverbs 15: 1-33

Take fast hold of INSTRUCTION; let her not go: keep her; for she is your life – Proverbs 4:13

The Light of INSTRUCTION makes the difference between life and death! A life void of instruction is bound for destruction: “He is in the way of life that keeps instructions” (Pro.10:17a). Instructions preserve and secure lives; whereas absence of Instruction is an invitation to death. Proverbs 5:23 says: “He shall die without instruction, and…go astray.” At every point in life, you need God to instruct you on what to do next, where to go, where to turn, and what to focus on. He has assured us: “I WILL INSTRUCT YOU and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you” (Psa. 32:8). The Holy Bible is a compendium of divine instructions that should be our compass as we navigate through the wilderness of this world. Every decision we take in life must be traceable to specific instructions received from God. Instructions are vital to life.

Instructions are major highways to distinction in life! The Bible is full of examples of men and women who followed and those who disregarded the Instructions of the Lord, and the attendant effects in their lives. Direction and Instructions are both ‘colors’ in the Spectrum of the Light of Wisdom. That’s why, when a wise man receives Instructions, he gets wiser (Pro.9:9). Dignity in life and in other worthy endeavours demands clarity of vision. Instructions in turn enhance Vision with precision; they give wheels to Vision. Vision that is devoid of Instructions will end in frustration. Scriptures consistently warn against hating, despising or refusing instruction (Psa.50:17; Pro.1:7; 8:33; 10:17b). Proverbs 13:18 says: “Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuses instruction; but he who regards reproof shall be honoured.” Children are exhorted to hear and attend to the instructions of the parents (Pro.1:8; 4:1; 13:1). A child who despises the father’s instructions is a fool (Pro.15:5).

Instructions can also take the form of Commands or Reproofs: “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is LIGHT; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life” (Pro.6:23). Therefore, those who obey His commandments become commanders in the way of life. LIGHT, not luck, makes the difference between victory and defeat, success and failure, life and death. The world will listen and give heed to a person who hears from God and receives heaven’s instructions. To the extent you give attention to God’s instructions, to that degree the world will pay attention to you. Instruction is tied to and accentuates Wisdom and Understanding: “He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, but he who heeds reproof gets understanding. The fear of the LORD is the Instruction of Wisdom, and before honor is humility” (Pro.15:32-33). We are enjoined: “But the truth, and sell it not; also Wisdom, and Instruction, and Understanding” (Pro.23:23).

God’s simple instructions are the road-maps you need in order to avoid life’s bumps, and enjoy a safe and successful ride. Noah followed divine instructions and detailed specifications in constructing the Ark, and thereby preserved his generation (Gen.6:22). Isaac, by divine instruction, sowed in Gerar and obtained stupendous results (Gen.26:1-6, 12-14). Naaman gave up his pride and reputation as captain of the host of Syria, obeyed God’s Instructions through Elisha, and emerged healed and cleansed (2Kg.5:1-15). Mary told the servers at the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee, “Whatever He says to you, do it” (Jh.2:5). They obeyed the seemingly ridiculous instructions, and miracles followed. As God sets and leads your feet on the Highway of Instructions, may you reach your ordained High Places in life and attain the Apex of Distinction in Destiny!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
