Bible Meditation:
John 9:1-10:1

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep …..I AM THE DOOR, If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture John 10:1-2, 9 (NKJV)

Jesus is the Door into salvation: “If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved…” In Him there is no destruction or damnation!

Jesus is the Door into freedom, grace and liberty: “If anyone enters by Me, he will…go in and out…” In Him there are no fetters of legalism or chains of bondage. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Cor.3:17).

Jesus is the Door into abundant provision, pasture, and all the blessings of eternal life: “If anyone enters by Me, he will…find pasture.” He who is the Door is also the Shepherd of the sheep – the Good Shepherd who makes His sheep to “lie down in green pastures” (Psalm 23:2). In Him there is no lack. The Good Shepherd is the one who cares for the sheep, provides for our salvation at the cost of His life, and laid down His life voluntarily for the well-being of the sheep.

Jesus Christ is not just a door among many doors. He is the one and only true Door into salvation, liberty and divine provisions. This message of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone is a relentless reminder of the futility of man’s efforts at saving himself. There is only one Way of salvation: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Christ alone made atonement for our sins. Jesus is the Doorway into eternal life; and there is a future judgment against sin for all who reject Him as the only door to salvation. How you respond to Jesus Christ in this life determines where you will spend eternity.

The critical question to be asked and answered by every living soul is: What is my relationship with Jesus Christ?

The preceding chapter of the Gospel of John describes a man born blind who came to a saving relationship with the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. He not only received physical sight, but he received spiritual sight as well. Jesus caused faith to bud and grow in the man’s life. Meanwhile, the Pharisees excommunicated the man, who was now healed, from the order of Jewish life. When Jesus heard what they had done to the man, He asked him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” The man responded, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”  His response was, “Lord, I believe!” (John 9:35-38). This story illustrates the blindness of the Pharisees as false shepherds, and of Jesus as the Door and the Good Shepherd.

Jesus compels His listeners to hear and respond. “Most assuredly,” “Verily, verily,” “Truly, truly,” – He beckons us to be quiet, be alert, and listen with rapt attention to His words. Those who hear His voice, and respond, follow Him – the Door – through into eternal life.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
