THE LAND OF UPRIGHTNESS

Teach me to do Your Will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of Uprightness – Psalm 143:10

Welcome to the Eleventh Month! The Lord has been absolutely faithful in fulfilling His Plans and Purposes in this Year of Grace, Goodness and Glory! Our Prophetic Word for this Month of November is ‘The LAND of UPRIGHTNESS’! The Psalmist prayed: “Teach me to do Your Will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness” (Psa.143:10). This brings to mind our Bible text for the Year’s theme: “For the LORD God is a Sun and Shield: the LORD will give GRACE and GLORY: no GOOD THING will He withhold from them that WALK UPRIGHTLY” (Psa. 84:11). God wants to be and remain your Sun and Shield; and He wants to bless you abundantly with Grace, Goodness, and Glory, via the Platform of UPRIGHTNESS!

By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we shall meditate and gain insight into God’s Mind concerning the Land of Uprightness. Psalm 143: 10 infers that no matter the corruption, contamination or contradictions in this world of imperfections, there is a Land of Uprightness for His own people. When God teaches you His WILL, and you are willing to be led, His Good Spirit will lead you in the land of uprightness. This not only means being led “into” a land of uprightness; it particularly means, being led IN the land uprightness. The Holy Spirit will nurture, teach, train, transform, and mature you in the Land of Uprightness – in character, dignity, Integrity, honesty, honour, maturity, morality, order, rectitude, responsibility, and transparency.

Beloved, we’ve sojourned through exciting realms of Prophetic Promises of Grace, Goodness, and Glory. We’ve learnt the principles, received the promises, and partaken of the realities of: Divine Performance (February); Grace for Fruitfulness (March); Divine Processing (April); Divine Restoration (May); Prevailing Praise (June); Possessing Good Things (July); Winning Wisdom (August); Divine Defence (September); and Divine Dominion (October). Let’s pause awhile on the precious promises and pay closer attention to our own part of the bargain: submit our will to God’s Will and be trained in Uprightness.

Prepare your heart to ponder on God’s Will: what His Will is; what it means to do His Will; how to be taught in His Will; His good, acceptable, and perfect Will; how to know, understand, and do His Will; how to be led by His Spirit, and much more. The ultimate goal is: the Land of Uprightness. What’s the picture in your mind of this Land? I’ll suggest that such a land could illustrate one or more of these: an upright heart, uprightness of character, uprightness in diverse dimensions of life (marriage, home, family, business, career, and ministry), uprightness in the church, and uprightness in the society. May the Lord open our eyes to the revelation of Uprightness and bring us into the reality of the Land of Uprightness in Jesus name!
