Bible Meditation:
Nehemiah 2:1-20

Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work – Nehemiah 2:18

When God creates a leader, he gives him the capacity to make things happen.

“There are three kinds of people in the world –
those don’t know what’s happening,
those who watch what’s happening, and
those who make things happen”
(Nicholas Murray Butler, a former President of Columbia University)

One characteristic common to all leaders is the ability to make things happen to act in order to help others work in an environment within each individual serving under him finds himself encouraged and stimulated to a point where he is helped to realize his fullest potential to contribute meaningfully.

Outstanding results cannot be forced out of people. They occur only when individuals collaborate under a leader’s stimulation and inspiration in striving toward a worthy common goal. A-C-T-I-O-N is the key.

Leadership and Management are mutually exclusive. The leader usually is a good manager, but a good manager is not necessarily a good leader because he may be weak in terms of motivating action in others.

When all the facts are in, swift and clear decision is a mark of true leadership…the temptation to procrastinate is resisted in reaching a decision, and they will not vacillate after making it!

We might say then, that Leadership is: an act or behaviour required by a group to meet its goals, rather than a condition. It is an ACT by either word or deed to influence behaviour toward a desired end.

There are many referred to a “leaders” by virtue of position occupied, skill or knowledge possessed, prestige or social status being held, compelling charisma or characteristics, who lack this ability to motivate people and act decisively…

Prayer:
Lord, make me a leader after Your heart; and give us true visionary and dynamic leaders who will make Your Will happen in our land.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
