Bible Meditation:
Matthew 11: 25-30

“Take My yoke upon you and LEARN from ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” – Matthew 11:29

One major key to making Personal and Profession Impact is to LEARN FROM the GREATEST: “Take My yoke upon you and LEARN from ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt.11:29). Learning “from” and “of” the Lord Jesus Christ goes beyond learning about Him or simply learning from His teachings. Our Lord Jesus Christ – The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived – would have us learn of Him, life-changing lessons, principles, skills, and strategies that He used in His earthly life, and find rest for our souls. These lessons can be received by faith, cultivated, and practiced!

Steven K. Scott in the book “The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived,” used the life and teachings of Jesus as a model for achieving unparalleled success and sound fulfillment. The book reframes Jesus's life not just from a spiritual stance, but as a blueprint for astonishing achievement in all areas of life, from career to personal relationships. After experiencing business and personal failures in his early life, through a mentor's guidance, Scott studied the book of Proverbs, and later, the Life of Jesus, which transformed his approach to life and work. He advocates for learning and application of Jesus’s principles and strategies.

The Master’s Model of turning a “purpose-driven life into a mission-accomplished life” is structured into 5 actionable strategies:

  • Meaning: His actions were driven by profound purpose, such as love for humanity, which sustained Him through adversity.
  • Mission: Having a clear mission is essential for productivity and creativity.
  • Message: Effectively communicating a message that moves and inspires others is crucial.
  • Manner: Acting with integrity, compassion, and consistency is vital for attracting others and building relationships.
  • Method: Adopting effective strategies and applying wisdom can accelerate success.

The central lesson is that true success and fulfilment come from emulating the human qualities and strategies of Jesus, rather than relying on luck or focusing on material gain. Here are a few of the several “lessons” from the Life of the Greatest:

  • Finding a deeper “WHY” for our actions enables us to overcome obstacles and achieve meaningful, long-term success. Superficial motivations lead to mediocrity. Real success is fuelled by a profound purpose that anchors during trying times.
  • Transformative relationships: Success is achieved through effective partnering, including cultivating relationships with mentors, advisers, and others who can offer guidance and support, as Jesus did with His disciples.
  • Confronting and overcoming illusions: About money, time, and relationships, for a clearer perspective and greater success.
  • Accomplishing the mission: Being purpose-driven is not enough; true fulfillment comes from a “mission-accomplished” life.
  • Using adversity as a springboard: Following Jesus’s example of enduring adversity to accomplish His ultimate mission.

The Master’s Life is a practical guide for living with purpose, cultivating communication, building stronger relationships, and navigating personal and professional challenges successfully.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
