“Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were CREATED” – Psalm 148:5
Scriptures invite all of Creation to come LET'S WORSHIP the CREATOR: “Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were CREATED” (Psa.148:3-5). We’re invited to join the creation as it worships God: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork” (Psa.19:1). Creation itself calls us to Worship the One Who made it.
Consistently, the psalmists were moved to adoration and worship because of the splendour of nature. Psalm 33 calls us to “rejoice in the Lord” and “sing to Him a new song” (Pa.33:1-3). Among the reasons given is that God made all things: “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses…For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast” (Psa.33:6-9).
The whole creation belongs to God because He made it: “The earth is the LORD’S, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters” (Psa.24:1-2). Everything in creation belongs to God – the animals, plants, stars, and planets, even the rhythms of nature: “The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun. You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter” (Psa.74:16-17). The creation helps us put our own lives into perspective as being temporal, relative to the Eternal God!
Nature itself is definitely not God; all her beauty is temporal, and it will ultimately perish. Only God is eternal: “Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end” (Psa.102:25-27). Our own lives on earth will end. But if we learn to worship God in Time; we’ll worship Him eternally! Psalm 95:6-7 goes further to extol God as both our Maker, and relationally our Shepherd: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.”
Psalm 104 is another extensive piece of Biblical literature that focuses on God as Creator and Sustainer of the universe. It opens with these words: “Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty, Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain. He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind” (Psa.104:1-3). In amazingly concrete language, the psalm describes how God created the earth and how He sustains it with water and food. Mentioning specific animals and plants – cedars, storks, young lions, wild goats – the psalmist says all plants and animals look to God for food in their season.
Psalm 104:30 concludes: “You send forth You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth.” After 30 verses describing God’s Hand in nature, the psalmist declared: “May the glory of the LORD endure forever,” then continues, “I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being” (Psa.104:31,33). The more we admit our utter dependence on the One who sustains our every breath, the more we’ll be inclined to join with creation in worshiping God: “worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water” (Rev.14:7b).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
