Bible Meditation:
Psalm 139: 1-18

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” – Psalm 139:14a

Wisdom teaches that LIFE IS GOD’S PROJECT IN PERFECTION: I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” (Psa.139:14). God made me a Winner from the womb. He will not abandon me in the world! Whatever may be, He will never despair or give up on me. He is faithful to complete what He commenced: He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phi.1:6)!

Ephesians 2:10 testifies to God’s eternal working in the lives of the redeemed: For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” This reveals God’s Extraordinary Purpose for our lives. God took special care to make us and to design the ‘good works’ He purposed for us. So, there is no just reason to feel bad about life or doubtful of God’s will. How humbling it is to be chosen to display His Grace for salvation, good works, and glorification! Good works are not done to gain salvation; they are to follow as fruits of salvation. The new life provides faith to believe in Christ for salvation as well as faith to live out what He put in us.

God calls me His workmanship – His design, His project, His masterpiece. God has hand-crafted me for His purposes. He shaped my beginnings and background, framed my personality, upbringing, and opportunities, and defines my dreams. He does not blame my being on another but takes full responsibility for who I am. To feel inferior therefore is to doubt His excellent workmanship. I have no reason to change to someone else because that’s not God’s desire. He didn’t just design my body, but the entirety of my life and destiny. He made me and is still making me just right to get His work done. He told Peter and company: “Follow Me, and I WILL MAKE YOU fishers of men” (Mt.4:19b). All who follow Jesus, He makes!

This is my winning attitude: God designed me to work and to do His work. I am not designed to fail. He who designed me will make all things work out like He wants – for His Glory! If my parents or others designed me, I would be worried. They might have made some mistakes or only had a limited purpose. The world tries to have me think what it wants, but my only concern is to be what God wants. God knows my frame (Psa.103:14): He knows me for who I am – my limitations, scars, past failures, imperfections, and idiosyncrasies. God made me the way I am and redeemed me. I can do whatever He wants for my life: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phi.4:13). I am unique. I don’t have to be someone else. I can be myself. God chose me to manifest His glorious Life through me.

A profound analogy of God and His people is that of the Potter and the Clay as displayed in the Potter’s House: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! (Jer.18:6). Just like Israel, my life is a Project in Perfection, a work-in-progress in Jehovah’s Hand. The potter’s primary purpose is to produce vessels from clay that would be found USEFUL to Him and others; that would reap PROFIT; and bring HONOUR to him. God excels in transforming old worthless clay by His grace into vessels of honour and glory (2Tim.2:20). He turns the “filth of the world, the offscouring of all things” into vessels of honour (1Cor.4:13).

I am not yet perfect, but because my Designer is perfect, I am Perfection-in-the-making. I am Perfection-in-progress! As I number my days on planet earth and apply my heart to Wisdom, I see my life as God’s Project in Perfection become more useful to bring profit and honour to my God and Maker!

Lord, let my Life – YOUR PROJECT IN PERFECTION – be increasingly useful to bring profit and honour to You, in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
