Bible Meditation:
Proverbs 1: 1-7

“A wise man will hear and INCREASE LEARNING, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel” – Proverbs 1:5

The wise Believer makes a personal choice of LIFELONG LEARNING for IMPACT: “A wise man will hear and INCREASE LEARNING, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel” (Pro.1:5). These and other scriptures emphasize a personal choice to learn, a commitment to instruction: “Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge” (Pro.23:12). These verses frame lifelong learning as a conscious decision to seek knowledge as long as temporal life subsists. The Word of God highlights the importance of continuous learning to serve Him, deepen understanding, and fulfill one's purpose.

The Boy Jesus began learning from a very early age: “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of Go was upon Him” (Lk.2:40). Luke also narrated how at the age of Twelve, Jesus was found “in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions” (Lk.2:46). The Scriptures portray learning as an ongoing task – a lifelong pursuit, not a stage that ends with formal education. Learning is a means of purposeful growth, a way to grow in wisdom and understanding, preparing us as individuals to fulfill God's purposes for our lives.

The diligent pursuit and application of instruction make progress evident: “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all” (1Tim.4:15). The journey of lifelong learning starts with a personal choice and decision that will impact our entire life. From whatever age we began, we must commit to keep learning and reading. Books open the door to every subject imaginable! Our education doesn’t stop at graduation. God has so much more He wants to teach us. Education should never end. Learning isn’t just a stage of life. It is our life! God wants us to learn something new every day. We must not stop – ever. We can start working on learning a new skill or broadening our perspectives.

Lifelong learning leads to transformation and character development, making us better equipped to serve, lead, and live more effectively. Christ invites: “Take My yoke upon you and LEARN from Me” (Mt.11:29a). This illustrates that learning from Him is a partnership and a lifelong process. Actively learning and applying knowledge leads to greater blessings. God commends those who faithfully multiply what they've received, promising them greater responsibility: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord” (Mt.25: 21b).

God wants us to grow, with our paths being like an increasingly shining light (Pro.4:18). Whatever age we may have attained, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (v.7).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
