Bible Meditation:
Psalm 1: 1-6

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful” – Psalm 1:1

Our stance and association determine how much we’ll partake of LIGHT for the BLESSED LIFE: “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night” (Psa.1: 1-2). This psalm captures a fundamental truth in scriptures, that our choices will determine both the direction and the outcome of our lives. Where, how and who we sit, stand, and walk with are destiny-defining postures!

Walking depicts dynamism, fellowship, partnership, and progress. God is a Walker. We do well to make Him our Number 1 Walking Partner. He is dynamic, always on the move, and unstoppable! He moved at the inception of creation (Gen.1:2). His voice walked in Eden in the cool of the day (Gen.3:8). He delighted in Enoch walking with Him (Gen.5:24). He instructed Abraham to walk before Him towards perfection (Gen.17:1). He walked withing Israel’s camp to deliver them (Deut.23:14). He walked among His obedient people (Lev.26:12-14; 2 Cor.6:14-18). God wants us to walk with the wise (Pro.13:20). Then, our “steps will not be hindered” (Pro.4:12a). And, we shall not faint (Isa.40:31).

Standing is a posture of Grace, Faith, Calling, Integrity, Vigilance, Defense, and Victory: “Through whom also we have access by faith into this GRACE in which we STAND… (Rom.5:2a). Paul charged: “Watch, STAND fast in the faith, be brave, be strong (1Cor.16:13); “STAND fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage (Gal.5:1); “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to STAND against the wiles of the devil…and having done all, to STAND (Eph.6:11,13). 2 Corinthians 1:24b declares: “...for by faith we stand”! Where we STAND determines what we SEE and FIND: “Thus saith the LORD, STAND in the ways and SEE, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; they you will FIND rest for your souls...” (Jer.6:16a).

Sitting is a posture of study, meditation, reflection, planning, and dominion. We can sit to search for secrets, receive instructions, be nourished with the Bread of Life; and to make critical decisions: “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not SIT DOWN FIRST and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it” (Lk.14:28). Who with sit with and where, matters to our Triumph in life: “The Lord said to my Lord, SIT at MY RIGHT HAND, till I make Your enemies Your footstool? (Psa.110:1).

May we not be found sitting with the scornful, standing in the paths of sinners, or walking in the counsel of the ungodly, in Jesus’ name!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
