Bible Meditation:
Genesis 37: 3-28

And he dreamed yet another DREAM, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a DREAM more…” Genesis 37:9

The LIGHT of DIVINE DREAMS plants in the human heart the SEED of the Future: And he dreamed yet another DREAM, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a DREAM more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me” (Gen.37:9). Divine dreams mean much more than natural dreams that come in the state of sleep. LIFE DREAMS picture the difference God wants your life to make in this one lifetime! From a tender age, God planted the Seed of the future in Joseph’s heart by means of a series of dreams which he shared with his parents and brethren. For this, his brothers hated him and teased him, calling him “the Dreamer” (vv.5,19). But Joseph’s dreams directed his paths from ignominy to Greatness!

Life Dreams are the raw materials for the making of destinies; the components with which God lays the foundation and frames the structures of our lives. Dreams are God-inspired desires that He sets in our hearts to direct our destinies in line with what He wants us to become and to do. God’s ultimate destiny for Joseph was to attain the height of leadership through which he’ll preserve his father’s posterity. Joseph dreamt of the sheaves of his brothers bowing before his upstanding sheave (vv.6-7). This the brothers rightly interpreted as him reigning or having dominion over them (v.8). Again, he dreamt seeing the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowing to him, indicating that sometime in the future, his parents and brethren would be subject to him, the youngest son (vv.9-11). What effrontery! But that's the stuff dreamers are made of.

By the Power of the Dream, Joseph knew where he was going, even if he couldn’t decipher the details. The Dream directed his destiny through trials, troubles, and temptations, right up to the Zenith of Fulfilment in Egypt (Gen.37:19; 41:39-44). From the pit, through servanthood in Potiphar’s house and painful patience of the prison season, Joseph ultimately made it to the Palace as Prime Minister in Egypt. That’s the Power of the Dream! At every junction on destiny’s pathway, he must have recalled the childhood Dream that kept him going. The Life Dream is a clear anticipation, hope or expectation of something definite in the future. Dreams are the expectations that God deposits in our hearts, to bring to pass His Will in our lives.

Every visible and tangible thing in creation originated from the invisible through God’s Big Dreams. Even now, He is working with the dreams He has placed in our hearts, to fulfil His eternal agenda and purposes. Life Dreams are inspired by God’s Word in our hearts; they are not carnally-conceived figments of the imagination. A Life Dream is a Seed of God’s Word that starts from the inside. The Dream-seed usually takes the form of an idea that never seems to want to leave you; a vivid ‘picture’ in your imagination, so strong it is almost ‘tangible’; or that ‘one thing’ you must become or do in life (Phil.3:13).

Dreams make a daily difference! Possessing or lacking Life Dreams will distinguish between those who excitedly get out of bed, energised by the hope of what life can be, and those who flop out of bed, drift through the day and retire into bed at night disillusioned, fatigued, and frustrated. For such, dreams have faded, the gusto is gone, and the spark is off. The light has left their eyes and the spring their step. No dream; no meaningful future. Shattered dreams produce shattered lives.

The Dream in your heart must be kept alive and aglow no matter the odds! It is a battle between Faith and Fear. Satan demotivates with facades of fear; but the Lord motivates by the Force of Faith. Faith in God’s Word and promises preserves the drive for your Dream. As you let the Dream saturate your thinking, talking, treasures and time, you’ll see the Light of Dreams converted into tangible manifestations to God’s Glory! Dreamers are the creators and agents of positive change!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
