LIGHT OF DIVINE SECRETS (2)

“But GOD has REVEALED them to us through HIS SPIRIT. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the DEEP THINGS of GOD” – 1 Corinthians 2:10

It is God’s Will that His children access and embrace the LIGHT of DIVINE SECRETS: “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But GOD has REVEALED them to us through HIS SPIRIT. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the DEEP THINGS of GOD” (1 Cor.2: 9-10). Yesterday, we saw that God is the Source and Revealer of deep and secret things – Life-enriching Secrets (Dan.2:22). Now, we see that such revelations are by His Holy Spirit.

The superiority of anyone or anything is enclosed in their secrets. If men could access all the secrets about God, men would be like God. To operate in the divine nature and produce divine-like results, we must have access to those secrets that make them happen. The difference between us and the great persons we admire and emulate is in the secrets that they know and are living by, which we are yet to discover. It is God’s Will that we are like Him. He said, “You are gods, and of you are children of the Most High” (Psa. 82:6). But we can’t be like Him until we have access to His secrets and begin to live by them. Jesus in His earth-walk had unlimited access and lived an extraordinary life.

Jesus said, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you” (Jh.15:15). We are meant to understand the secrets of God’s Kingdom; but it takes a determined and diligent search to access them; they are not accessed by being idle or slothful. Deuteronomy 29:29 says, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law” (Deu 29:29 KJV). To access divine secrets, we must understand the two major ways through which they are released.

First, the Holy Spirit is the Custodian of the secrets of God. Thankfully, He lives within us, and through His infilling, releases divine secrets to us through the language of the Spirit. When we speak in tongues, we speak mysteries unto God – secrets that can make a supernatural being out of a natural being if understood. However, it takes spiritual sensitivity to receive interpretation to them (Rom.8:27). Second, the Bible contains the secrets of God in a coded form that only the spiritual mind is granted access to, being God’s Inspired Word (2 Tim.3:16). It takes God’s Spirit to reveal His Mind in His Words. And by His Secrets we become Commanders in the Spirit Realm.
