Bible Meditation:
Amos 3: 1-8

Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals HIS SECRET to HIS SERVANTS the PROPHETS Amos 3:7

The LIGHT of DIVINE SECRETS belong primarily to God’s Servant the prophets and to those who fear Him: Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals HIS SECRET to HIS SERVANTS the PROPHETS (Amos 3:7). Everyone has secrets. Choosing whether to reveal a secret and to whom rests solely in the power of the secret holder. God also has Secrets; He is the Ultimate Revealer of Secrets: “The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret” (Dan. 2:47). God reveals His Secrets to two different types of people: His Servants the Prophets and those who fear Him: “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant” (Psa. 25:14).

Every Believer in Christ however, has the inherent potential to enter the Secret dimensions of Divine Realms which Deuteronomy 29:29 alludes to. The unfortunate reality is few are entering into the secret dimension because a lack of awareness of its existence or the unwillingness to pay the price to cultivate a lifestyle that affords access. The scriptures affirm the reality of Divine Secrets, and that the Lord communicates these with His Prophets and those who fear Him in diverse ways: Inspiration through a still small voice or leading of the Holy Spirit (1 Kgs.19:12; Jh.14:26; 2 Pet.1:21); Dreams, Visions, and Trances (Num.12:6; Acts 9: 3-9; 2 Cor.12: 2-4); and Divine Encounters or Angelic Visitations (Heb.13:2). Understanding what’s scripturally available to us builds faith to access the secret dimension of the prophetic.

The word “secret” in Amos 3:7 and Psalm 25:14 comes from the Hebrew word ‘cowd’ which denotes God’s counsel, plans or intentions – in “familiar conversation.” It implies “familiar friends.” When we’re building relationships with people, we make ourself available – even when it’s not convenient. Intimacy often demands sacrifice. Many people want to walk in the secret dimension but they don’t want to spend time with the Revealer of Secrets. Because our Father loves His children, He will not leave us to guess about life’s priorities, attention to which would bring fulfilment or indifference to which could bring regret. He could tell us such things directly, by inspiration, or through His servants.

The word “servant” in Amos 3:7 is rarely emphasized. People say, “God shares His secrets with the prophets.” But the Scripture says: “His servants the prophets.” One can be called a prophet and serve one’s own agenda. The Hebrew word for “servant” – ebed, means a servant, worshiper, subject, manservant, and slave. When we see through the eyes of a servant – doing everything as an act of worship unto the Lord – He’ll illuminate the eyes of our spirit to see with correct lens, His counsels, plans, and intentions that are “hidden” in His Secret Place!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
