John 9: 1-11

“So I went and washed, and I received my sight” – John 9:11b

The healing story of a man born blind, illustrates how obstacles give way before the LIGHT of FAITH for HEALING: “He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received my sight” (Jh.9:11). The roadblocks to healing have little to do with our spiritual performance and everything to do with our focus and obedience. The largest obstacle to receiving and walking in healing is the not lack of faith, but the presence of doubt. Healing responds to our looking at and focusing on the only Answer – Jesus! We must ask ourselves, what’s bigger in our eyes – the sickness or the Solution?

When we are privileged to minister healing, our main focus is not to bring the recipient’s attention to what they think the problem is or might be, but to get their eyes onto the Answer, Jesus! Quite often, when healing does not manifest, instead of pressing in until it does, until what Scripture says actually comes to pass, we give up and develop theologies around the presence of obstacles to justify the lack of power and breakthrough. God wants us to become so focused on Jesus, the Answer, that the obstacles are unable to stand in the way to block our Vision of His Identity and Power. There is no problem we’ll ever encounter that is bigger than the Answer – Jesus!

Our Meditation text illustrates how Jesus responded to obstacles – on the basis of Identity. He knew Who He was and what He carried. He released solutions, knowing that His anointing is superior to all sicknesses. There’s no sickness that has not been paid for in full by His Blood! Jesus addressed roadblocks by declaring higher truth than the questions arising. The disciples were trying to evaluate the source of the blindness (vv.1-3). He didn’t seem to be interested in that. Rather, He focused on releasing the solution – Healing. If we need to be perfect to be healed, then we’re coming on our own merits, and rarely can anyone quality to be healed or to be used by God to heal others!

Moreover, the Lord Jesus evaluated where people stood in their own identity. For example, he asked “blind Bartimaeus,” What do you want Me to do for you?” (Mk.10:51). The Lord was evaluating whether or not this man had allowed sickness to define his identity. Even though the people labelled him as “blind Bartimaeus,” what mattered was how he saw himself. It is strange that there are some people who become so wrapped up in an identity of illness and sickness that, deep down, they do not want to be healed. As we respond with Grace, keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, call forth God’s promises, and remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit, the Light of Faith for Healing will prevail unhindered!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
