LIGHT OF VISION

Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly VISION – Acts 26:19

God gives the LIGHT of VISION to prevent destruction, secure Victory, and establish Dominion in Life: “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly VISION “ (Acts 26:19). These were the words of Paul, a Man moved by Vision; transformed from a religious Professor of Judaism and violent persecutor of saints into a mighty missionary and apostle. The heavenly vision he caught on Damascus road dispelled the darkness of his sinful and evil soul forever.

By the Light of Vision, Paul discovered that God had separated him from his mother’s womb and called him to be a vessel for His Glory (Acts 9:15-16; Gal.1:15). From that moment, he decided to follow and serve the Lord, never vacillating or veering!

Vision is Light. The absence of Vision invites destruction: “Where there is no vision, the people perish…”! (Pro.29:18a KJV). The Light of Vision dispels darkness; while lack of Vision permits the infiltration and dominion of darkness. But, what is Vision? Purpose is “the Reason for being.” Vision is the revelation of Purpose! Divine Vision is divine Picture with divine Purpose. Vision is God’s unveiling of His purpose for a person or a people. Vision is insight through the eyes of the spirit into God’s plan; the unfolding of His plan for a person or a group. Vision combines abilities to see deep within and far ahead.

God has purposes for all of His creation, and master plans for each of His children: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jer.29:11). The Lord also put within each of us the spiritual Power of Vision, to help us find and fulfil Purpose: “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works  in us” (Eph.3:20). Vision is the God-given ability to discover His primary purposes or assignments for our lives.

God proved through Abraham that the tomorrow you “see” in Him is the tomorrow you’ll possess (Gen.13:10-16). God proved through Elisha that Vision guarantees security against the onslaught of wickedness (2Kgs.6:15-18). God proved through Joshua that the Victory you “see” is the Victory you’ll taste (Jos.6:2; 8:1). God proved through Caleb who at age eighty-five still kept alive the thirst for Victory that he had forty-five years earlier, that Vision renews Vigour and Strength (Num.14:7-14). Leadership thrives on vision. The Lord Jesus said: “Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch” (Mt.15:14). The absence of vision spells anarchy, confusion, disorder, frustration, rebellion, and destruction.

You cannot accomplish beyond what you see. You cannot outgrow your Vision. Your Vision shapes your life and defines your destiny. Your Vision is your Future! Fewer persons have passed through life’s lanes and stamped their footprints on eternal tracks, than those who passed unseen and unsung. God did not create you to roam the routes and wander through the wilderness of life purposelessly. Vision adds value to life. God wants you to be counted among the More-than-Conquerors who by Vision discover their placement in life with value and dignity! God wants you to discover your Vision in life, and cherish and personalise it so intimately it becomes a Law that must be obeyed: “…I was not DISOBEDIENT to the heavenly VISION” (Acts 26:19).

Elisha prayer for his servant: “Lord…open his eyes that he may SEE” (2Kgs.6:17a). I pray for you in Jesus’ name:

The Lord will activate the “eyes of your understanding” to catch your heavenly Vision!

Your Vision will never be derailed, delayed, diverted, aborted or doomed to destruction!

God will empower you to clarify, write indelibly, cherish, run with, and fulfil your Vision (Hab.2:1-4).

You will never lose sight of the Vision of Victory but by Vision secure Dominion in life and destiny.

You will receive grace to operate in the Perfection of the Light of Vision, and be far from destruction.

You will never be disobedient to the heavenly Vision, in Jesus name!
