“The EYES of your understanding being ENLIGHTENED; that you may know what is the hope of His calling…” (Eph.1:18a)
Paul, the apostle, prayed for Believers in Christ to encounter the LIGHT of VISION: “The EYES of your understanding being ENLIGHTENED; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” (Eph.1:18). Paul in this text prayed for the Ephesian believers that their eyes be enlightened, so could be brought into the knowledge of the hope of God’s calling over their lives. This implies that we cannot fully walk in divine purpose and calling if we cannot see; and for us to see, the eyes of our understanding – our spiritual eyes – must be enlightened. In today’s world, the eyes that look are many, but the eyes that see are few!
Biologically, the reason the physical eyes can see, is due to light. Without light, the eyes cannot differentiate between colors. The same is true for the spiritual eyes of Believers in Christ, which have been awakened, and can be enlightened. When we come into contact with the Light of God – through His Word and His Spirit – we can access to His Vision for our lives. Purpose is the reason for being of someone or something. Vision is the revelation or unveiling of purpose. God is a God of Purpose. He is always intentional, never accidental. His intentions follow His Eternal Purpose. Nothing is unplanned with God. He has a purpose for everything and everyone He created: the Sun, Moon, and innumerable stars (Gen.1:16). More importantly, Man was created in God’s Image and for His grand Purpose of Dominion (Gen.1: 26-28).
Like our Creator, human beings are creatures of purpose. We typically act on purpose, creating products for specific functions: Automobiles for mobility; trucks for hauling; houses for shelter; schools for learning; and hospitals for health care. Every human being is uniquely made and born for a definite divine assignment. Knowing our purpose gives life meaning, focus, relevance, significance, and motivation. In order to fulfil His Purpose, God orchestrates an unveiling – Vision! We were born by and for God’s Purpose, with in-built capacity to discover, define, pursue, and fulfil the reason for our existence.
Vision is the seeing of a sight. A divine vision is a divine Picture with a divine Purpose. Vision is the God-given revelation of His Purpose for a person or group. Vision is insight into and unfolding of God’s divine plan as it relates to an individual, organization, or nation. Paul told King Agrippa: “I was not disobedient to the HEAVENLY VISION” (Acts 26:19b). God has put within us the spiritual power of vision (vv.16-18). It is our privilege and responsibility to encounter and embrace the Light of Vision; and align with God to fulfil Purpose. Life is about letting God use us for His Purpose, not us using Him for our own. We are called to walk in the Pathway of Purpose (Eph.2:10).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
