THE LIGHT OF WISDOM (1)

“So shall the Knowledge of WISDOM be to your soul; if you have found it, there is a prospect, and your hope will not be cut off” – Proverbs 24:14

In this Sixth Month of our Year of Divine Light and Life, we shall embrace afresh the LIGHT of WISDOM for Winning in Life: “So shall the Knowledge of WISDOM be to your soul; if you have found it, there is a prospect, and your hope will not be cut off” (Pro.24:14). Wisdom is the Key Divine Asset for Winning, Enthronement and Reigning in life! Wisdom is a prime dimension of Divine Light, and the “Principal Thing” (Pro.4:7). The Light is sweet (Eccl.11:7a). So is Wisdom: “Know also that WISDOM is SWEET to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off” (Pro.24:14, NIV). The Light of Wisdom is pleasant, nourishing, and sweet to the soul.

The discovery of the Light of Wisdom is extremely profitable, and enhances the manifestation of our expectations. Proverbs 24 intertwines the ‘triplets’ of Divine Light: “Through WISDOM a house is built, and by UNDERSTANDING it is established; by KNOWLEDGE the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches” (vv.3-4). Precious means ‘valuable’ and ‘rare,’ as of a treasure. Pleasant means that which is sweet, comfortable, delightful, and beautiful. The houses of our lives are best built with God’s wisdom. “By understanding it is established,” and “by knowledge” our destinies are filled with unique and beautiful treasures. To build by Wisdom infers having a proper view of the plans and materials that make up life. Wisdom is seeing things as God sees them; viewing life and decisions in alignment with His Word and Will.

Wisdom is God’s Creative agent: “The LORD by wisdom founded the earth...” (Pro.3:19a). The Lord designed our destinies to be built, established, and decorated by Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge, using His eternal gems and jewels. Wisdom is “more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her” (Pro.3:15-18). The Light of Wisdom commands: longevity, riches, dignity, pleasantness, peace, fruitfulness, and fulfilment. 

Wisdom is God’s Dominion instrument: “By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth” (Pro.8:15-16). King Solomon epitomized Wisdom for enthronement as God granted his request for Wisdom to administer His people, and in addition, poured on him “riches, wealth and honor” that surpassed any that ever reigned in Israel (2Chr.1:10-12). Wisdom connects to prudence, “witty inventions,” durable riches, honour, and righteousness (Pro. 8:11-12, 18-21).

As we embrace Wisdom, “watching daily” at her gates, we will be built, decorated, enriched, empowered and enthroned in dominion!
