THE LIGHT OF WISDOM

WISDOM is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and in all your getting, get understanding – Proverbs 4:7

WISDOM is LIGHT. Wisdom refers to divine KNOW-HOW; laying hold on GOD’s HIGHER WAYS. God’s Word contains His higher thoughts which lead to His higher ways (Isa.55:8-9). “So shall the knowledge of WISDOM be to your soul; if you have found it, there is a prospect, and your hope will not be cut off (Pro. 24:14). When you FIND the knowledge of Wisdom, light dawns and your expectations are met! The Bible is the Book of Wisdom. The Word of God is the Answer Book to all situations of life. There is enough in the Word to fulfil your greatest dreams.

God’s Word has a solution to every situation, but you must sit down, locate it and work it out: “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not SIT DOWN first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it” (Lk. 14:28). However knotty your situation may be, you can engage the Word to work out your salvation, by the instructions of wisdom (Phil. 2:12b). The Scriptures will make you WISE unto salvation, deliverance, healing, prosperity, and all that pertains unto life and godliness (2Tim. 3:15).

God launched creation by the Word of Light: “Let there be Light” (Gen.1:4). Never start anything without the Light of Wisdom. When you allow wisdom to possess you in the beginning of your way, you will always know what to do, where to go, when to step out, and when to pause or stop. Wisdom shows you the right direction in life, so that you are never stranded. Wisdom will give a glorious conclusion to the story of your life: a conclusion of long-life, nobility, durable riches, substance, honour, peace, and righteousness (Pro. 8:15-21). Wisdom controls the “gates” of the city: by wisdom, you will rule, not roam the city (Pro. 8:3).

Wisdom helps you to simplify complex issues and to concentrate your energies. Many engage in so much activity, but have little productivity; they have ability, but lack the instruction and direction of wisdom. They toil futilely in the dark, rather than work productively in the light. There is never a reason to panic. Wisdom demands that you settle down, connect with the Spirit of God, organize scriptural arsenals, and launch counter-attacks on the adversary. Then, God’s His Light will shine on your ways and guide your steps. The wisdom of God fashioned you in the womb; the same wisdom will fashion your future in this world.
