But You, O LORD, are a SHIELD for me, My glory, and the One who lifts up my head – Psalm 3:3
Still digging into Psalm 84:11, “For the Lord God is…a SHIELD…” What does it mean that “…the Lord is…a Shield”? The shield is a protective or defensive Covering. The ancient military used large, long, and vast shields to cover and protect the soldier’s entire body from the enemies’ arrows. Likewise, God is willing to compass, defend and protect His own from all forms of harm. That the Lord God is YOUR SHIELD therefore means that He is your Divine Defence and Supernatural Security!
God is saying to you and I, what He said to Abraham: “Fear not, Abram: I am your SHIELD, and your exceeding great reward” (Gen.15:1). When the Lord manifests as your shield, fear flees! You can therefore say with David: “But You, O LORD, are a SHIELD for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head” (Psa.3:3). Elsewhere, David declared God as: “my strength and my shield” and “our help and our shield” (Psa.28:7a; 33:20b; 115:9-11). The Lord is “a shield to those who put their trust in Him” (Pro.30:5). In 2017, will you put your trust in the Lord?
When you sincerely acknowledge God as your Shield, His promises in Psalm 84:4-12 will be yours:
On the authority of God’s Word, join me to declare as follows: “The Lord God is my Shield, my Glory and the Lifter-up of my head. The Lord is my Help, my Strength, and my Shield. God’s Favour will surround me like a shield in all of my journeys in life" (Psa.5:12).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
