MAXIMISE

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly – John 10:10b

As we inch towards the crescendo of our March of Motivation, we meditate today on a close ally – the word “MAXIMISE”! The Will of God for Mankind is a Maximised Life – life “more abundantly”; abundant life; life in abundance; the God-kind of life! God wants you to be maximised in all aspects of life: Time, Career, Marriage, and Ministry. You can accomplish much more than you thought you could. You can reach farther and higher than you’ve ever dreamt of. You can be more productive and profitable in life. You can become all that God ordained you to be. You can make Maximum Impact! The Maximised Life is your covenant calling and redemptive right in Christ: “And of His FULLNESS we have all received, and grace for grace” (Jh.1:16).

Life can be experienced on three broad levels: the Minimised; the Mediocre; and the Maximised:

• The minimised life describes a miserable existence, in which the thief has free rein to steal, kill, and destroy (Jh.10:10a). Such a life is always operating “under pressure” – the pressures of sin, sickness, stagnation, shame, reproach, poverty, penury, fruitless toiling, frustration, fear, debts, defeat, despair, anxiety, worry, and demonic bondages.

• The mediocre life is the average, casual, limited, natural, and ordinary level of existence. A casual lifestyle is an invitation to calamity! The limited life is full of fleshly toiling and struggles. Quit the struggle; claim and enter into Christ’s Victory!

To maximise life means: to “make the most” of life. The Maximised Life is the abundant, fulfilling, meaningful, victorious, supernatural, and unlimited life of the “More-than-Conqueror” in Christ: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Rom.8:37). The Maximised Life is the Dominion Life. Let’s consider these few dimensions:

Maximise Time: Your time is your life (Psa.90:9-12). Wasting time is tantamount to destroying life. Time is short, limited, and scarce (1Cor.7:29). So, learn to redeem, possess, and re-possess time; learn to utilise time effectively. Learn to walk circumspectly and wisely; walking in intimacy with God (Eph.5:15-17; Col.4:5). You may need to fight for time. In so doing, you will be fighting for life. Everyday that has gone unused often requires struggle to regain, and certainly cannot be relived.

Maximised Marriage: Enjoy a marriage in the “made in heaven” mold, a marriage that’s built on Kingdom Principles.

Maximised Relationships: Synergy is superior to energy; multiplication to addition; and networking outshines isolation. Proper association gives leverage to living. Maximised relationships serve, give, and share, rather than being parasites.

Maximised Ministry: Be equipped and “take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfil it” (Col.4:17). Every human being has enough time and resources to do all that God would have them do! The Pro-Vision always comes with the Vision!

Experience Maximised Life: Discover and live by Divine Purpose. Align with the Word and Will of the Divine Designer. Live for the Kingdom, rather than for yourself. Catch and develop a Kingdom-Vision. Embrace the Kingdom-Mentality (Mt.6:33). Live with eternity in view. When you do, you will enjoy maximized Grace, Favor, Joy, Peace, Power, and Prosperity. What you make out of the present life will determine the essence of the life which is to come (1Tim.4:8).  

To maximise this one life requires that you have the correct knowledge about life as well as a right perspective and proper attitude to life. Your attitude to life will determine to a large extent, life’s response to you. What life means to you – your value of life – will be the measure of your fruitfulness and productivity. Never become complacent and at ease with status-quo. Never rest on your oars. Set your sight on higher horizons. Regardless of the stage and height you have attained, still press forward (Phi.3:12-14). Add this to your Vault of Treasures: Today’s Maximum must be Tomorrow’s Minimum”!

Salvation in Christ is your Access to a Life of Maximum Impact on earth and eternal relevance – the Maximised Life!
