Bible Meditation:
Exodus 14: 10-31

But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea Exodus 14:16

The Scriptures abound with numerous examples of Bible characters who exercised dominion in life. In the next few days, we’ll meditate on some. We begin today, with three such ‘models’ of dominion – Noah, Moses, and Joshua:

  • Noah exercised dominion in the realm of maritime technology, by pioneering the construction of the first-recorded sea vessel, the ark. He then exercised dominion over the animal kingdom (obviously including wild animals) at the time of the flood, all of these by receiving and patiently obeying simple, but life-saving divine instructions (Gen. 6:13-22). You also can be a pioneer in your unique domain as you follow divine instructions, and make eternal impact.
  • Moses exercised dominion over the forces of nature, through Jehovah’s delegated authority and anointing, first in Egypt when by the rod in his hand the Lord smote Egypt with His signs and wonders (Exo.4:17,21-23); and then at the Red Sea, as the sea miraculously stood like walls and the sea-bed became super-heated, dried, and transformed into a highway (Exo. 14:13-22). Have you identified God’s rod of authority and anointing in your hand? Lift it over that ‘Red Sea’ and behold God perform wonders through you to marvel your generation!
  • Joshua exercised dominion by meditating on and living by the Book of the Law (Jos.1:8), to the extent that, by faith, he parted River Jordan and led Israel across (Jos.3:15-17). He went on to command the sun to stand still upon Gibeon and the moon, in the valley of Ajalon, and they obeyed (Jos.10:12-13). The secrets of dominion are “hidden” in God’s Word. His Word is your appointed instrument of Dominion in life and destiny (Mic.6:9). Therefore, “let the Word of Christ dwell richly in you…” (Col.3:16). Confess the Word constantly; meditate on it day and night; and be a Doer of the Word!

It is time to lift up your rod of faith and stretch out your hand in dominion, and see God perform what He alone can, all to His Glory and Praise!

Prayer:
Lord, enable me by the Rod of Your Word to exercise dominion over all limiting barriers and break-through into my glorious destiny, in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
