Bible Meditation:
Acts 1: 1-26

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth Acts 1:8

Momentum refers to the property of a moving object deriving from its mass and motion – impetus gained by a moving object. It is the force that keeps an object or event on course after it has commenced. Momentum implies dynamism and movement. It enables something to continue in motion or to grow stronger or faster with time. A static or stationary object, no matter how loaded, cannot demonstrate momentum. To manifest momentum; you must be on the move for God. His will for His children is Momentum, not Stagnation. He wants you to let go of whatever wants to stop, stagnate or decelerate you. He has loaded you with potentials, gifts, and grace to make temporal progress and eternal impact in life. The Holy Spirit is the Energizer, our Source of Divine Momentum. He was released to keep the momentum going among the disciples (Acts 1:8). He enables us to enjoy divine acceleration, growth, maturity, impact, and increasing circles of influence in all dimensions of life.

God wants you to be more than what you were yesterday or what you are today. That’s why, what happens in your Morning – how you handle the dawn – is vital to your Momentum for the rest of each day. Embracing God’s Word early and submitting to His Spirit will ensure that you capture, gain, and increase Momentum in life. You can be “confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil.1:6). God’s Mercies and compassions never fail; they come with fresh momentum for every new day: “They are new every morning…” (Lam.3:23a). This is His promise: “Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard” (Isa.58:8). With the new day come fresh ideas, novel thoughts, new strength, and powerful refreshing momentum.

Momentum begets momentum, and the smartest way to start is to start. It does not matter how slowly you start as long as you do not stop. The question shouldn’t be who is going to let you; it should be who is going to stop you? Initially, success may require you expending ten units of effort to produce one unit of results. Ultimately, your momentum will produce ten units of results with each unit of effort. Thomas Edison said: “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” Beware of the enemies of Momentum: anxiety, worry, fear, the constant onslaught of distractions, relational conflicts, and sometimes thinking too much can destroy momentum. Life is complex, and you must learn to navigate complex reality and distractions that make it difficult for you to stay focused. Wisdom demands that you do not waste your life in friction when it could be put to producing movement and momentum.

Momentum thrives on a definite sense of destiny and purpose; single-minded focus; unwavering drive for your dream; resolute pursuit of your goal; passion that knows no limits; concentrated intensity; boundless vision; and commitment to excellence. But none of these works in isolation. Having purpose and passion are wonderful. However these may not always be what gets you through to the other side or what gets you to the finish line. Getting through the “sludge” to reach your desired destination is a combination of grace, focus, tenacity, a refusal to give up hope, and making wise decisions. So, what needs to gain momentum in your life? How is the state of your spirituality, mentality, creative life, or your intellectual growth? What simple action could you take today to produce greater momentum toward accomplishment and fulfilment in life? What is God’s Spirit spurring you into? Be confident and respond positively to the Impulse of Divine Momentum!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
