“The LORD is my SHEPHERD, I shall not want” – Psalm 23:1
The LORD is my SHEPHERD – my SUPERNATURAL SOURCE and SUPPLIER: “The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want” (Psa. 23:1). Psalm 23 is one of the most quoted, memorised, and best known passages of the Bible. It is the Sheep’s Psalm: the sheep affirming the Shepherd’s exceedingly abundant blessings. A young lad misread Psa. 23:1 as “The Lord is my Shepherd; HE IS ALL I WANT.” She might have quoted it wrongly, but her attitude was right: having the Lord as my Shepherd is having ALL. All that I would ever need or want are amply and plentifully available with and in Him. This Psalm presents a simple yet grand declaration of God as Shepherd giving diverse illustrations of His array of blessings.
Someone wrote and shared these profound words based on Psalm 23, which I paraphrase as follows:
I shall not want – that’s Provisions!
He makes me to lie down in green pastures – that’s Prosperity!
He leads me beside the still waters – that’s Refreshment!
He restores my soul – that’s Restoration, Healing and Wholeness!
He leads me in the paths of righteousness – that’s Guidance!
For His Name sake – that’s Relationship!
Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death – that’s Testing!
I will fear no evil – that’s Faith
For You are with me – that’s Faithfulness!
Your rod and Your staff comfort me – that’s Discipline and Comfort!
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies – that’s Confidence and Courage!
You anoint my head with oil – that’s Consecration!
My cup runs over – that’s Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life – that’s Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord – that’s Establishment!
Forever – that’s Eternity!
The Lord is my Ultimate and Sole Source for any and everything, in time and eternity. Because I have Him as my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He ensures and guarantees the Supernatural Supply of direction, provision, prosperity, refreshment, restoration, healing and wholeness, guidance, and rewarding relationships. Through His supernatural supply of Grace and Mercy, I triumph through all tests and trials. I walk in faith through His faithfulness. I am nurtured through His rod of discipline and staff of comfort. I am nourished with confidence and confidence at His prepared table. I am consecrated – anointed and empowered – for service and work of the ministry. The Shepherd of my soul pledges a covenant of overflowing abundance.
The Lord is my Good Shepherd, our Great Shepherd, and the Chief Shepherd. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Shepherd of our souls. Ezekiel prophesied about Him, as personalised in David: “I will establish one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them – even My servant David. He shall feed them and be their Shepherd” (Eze.34:23). The Shepherd of our souls provides exceedingly abundantly for all that we need. He gathers, guides, guards, feeds, nourishes, and protects us.
The Shepherd of our souls guides the wandering soul. He restores the fainting soul. He satiates the longing soul. He nourishes the famished soul. He suckles the lean soul. He strengthens the weary soul. He soothes the wounded soul. He emboldened the fearful soul. He encourages the disillusioned soul. He uplifts the disheartened soul. He heals the bitter soul. He repairs the vexed soul. He resurrects the dying soul. He lifts the depressed soul from the pit, even from the miry pit, and redeems the silenced and sentenced soul from destruction: “He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit, and his life shall see the light…to bring back his soul from the Pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life” (Job 33: 28,30).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
