Bible Meditation:
Revelations 22: 1-7

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its FRUIT EVERY MONTH…” – Revelation 22:2a

There are temporal and eternal dimensions to the ORDER of FRUITFUL MONTHS: In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its FRUIT EVERY MONTH. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” (Rev.22:2). The book of Revelation provides glorious pictures of Heaven, describing the kind of life God desires for His people; one without clutter, confusion, or distraction, where He is the Centre of everything. There is no sin or darkness, for God illuminates every moment and every event. The present temporal scheme of things is a shadow of this future eternal reality, which human vocabulary cannot fully capture.

John describes the New Jerusalem: a river of pristine clarity – “clear as crystal” – flows out of the throne of God, down the city's great main street, and around the tree of life. The whole city of God, which presently signifies all true believers, are supplied, refreshed, and revived by this river. The row of trees flanking the river perpetually produces twelve kinds of fruit, a different fruit each month. The metaphor of the tree evokes images of the Garden of Eden, where God had originally placed humankind and a tree of life, but which was lost to sin. The fruit of the tree of life in Eden possessed supernatural virtue: to eat of it was to live forever. After sin entered, the heavenly Husbandman transplanted the tree of life to the Paradise above.

The Good News is that another tree that brought eternal life was planted on Golgotha hill 2000 years ago, when Jesus laid down His life for us. By Redemption’s Grace, in the New Jerusalem – paradise regained – God will restore the tree of life. We, the redeemed saints will enter in through the gates of the city, and have right to the tree of life. We shall eat freely of it, and the leaves will be for the healing of the nations. All woes, sickness, sorrow, and death will be gone, as healing flows from the leaves of the tree. Jesus will then see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied, when the redeemed partake of the immortal fruits that were forfeited by the first couple. There will be no danger of ever losing right to the tree of life again!

As we emphasize on the tree of life, we should not lose sight of the Divine Order of Months with Perpetual Variety of Fruits. The tree bears a variety of twelve fruits, relating to the twelve months of the year. This shows that months are not mere human contraptions or demarcations of time, devoid of divine significance. God reckons with months. He wants us to yield fruits perpetually! The “twelve kinds of fruit” symbolizes the nourishing character of the tree and complete health that it brings. It is a picture of God’s constant care, in every season, no matter what happens; and His complete therapy for our total being – spirit, mind, emotions, thoughts, and body. God rules supremely over His Universe by the Order of His Word.

For us in the present, the lesson to learn is that God intends every month of the years of our lives to perpetually deliver specific and significant FRUITS. That’s why, in Kingdom Capstone Outreach Ministry (KCOM) we always believe the Lord for monthly Prophetic Themes around which all of our dealings with Him revolve. God has a Divine Order of Fruitfulness for every Month! As a ready example, let’s recall the Prophetic Fruits for the Months in this Year of Divine Perfection:

January – Multidimensional Divine Perfections

February – Perfection of Praise

March – Perfections of Purpose and Vision

April – Perfections of Faith and Victory

May – Perfections of Light

June – Walking in Perfection

God is interested in our daily accountability, weekly significant achievement, and monthly fulfilment and fruitfulness.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
