Despite the sovereignty of God concerning favour, He wants us to be passionate about seeking His favour personally. His favour is a gracious gesture, free, undeserved and unearned, but the Bible urges us to pray for it! Receiving favour cannot be left to chance. Favour is a living, dynamic, potent force for good that we should be calling down, pronouncing and prophesying on one another.
Daniel had received God’s favour his entire life but he wanted that favour to extend to his nation. Like Daniel, we can situate ourselves correctly by turning from sins and giving attention to truth – the Word (Dan.9:13). One of the secrets to experiencing God’s favour is yielding to His sovereignty and diligently obeying Him – doing exactly what He calls you to do.
Beloved, it is time to knock at the door of God’s favour: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Mt.7:7). Ask the Lord to fix His loving gaze on you; to take a keen and lively interest in you. Quite a number of people in the Bible prayed explicitly for God’s favour:
- Jacob pleaded for favour: “And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me” (Gen. 32:26b).
- Jabez called on the God of Israel and obtained the fullness of favour (1Chr.4:10).
- Daniel petitioned for favour: “…CAUSE THY FACE TO SHINE upon thy sanctuary…” (Dan. 9:17).
- Nehemiah cried out for favour: “THINK UPON ME, my God, for good…” (Neh. 5:19).
More often than not, favour must be sought in order to be found. To “find” favour means that God releases this living force to those who really want it. Favour is that incredible experience where God fixes His gaze upon you; that unique concentration of divine attention that makes onlookers to wonder in awe, and almost “accuse” God of “favouritism.” This can be your portion when you passionately hunger and pray, and when you properly position yourself for it.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
