POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call HIS NAME JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins – Matthew 1:21

The Name JESUS is our sure Source of Power; the only authentic, Heaven-certified, earth-recognized, hell-shaking name. There is so much loaded into His Name. It has in-built Power to deliver from the darkness of sin, set free from Satan, heal, save, and salvage from every mess. At the mention of His Name, all knees bow, of things on earth, things underneath the earth, and things in heaven; every tongue confesses the Lordship of His Name (Phil. 2:9-10).

Peter called upon the Name JESUS and the ugly sight by the Beautiful gate – the cripple – rose up and began to walk and leap and praise God. Peter said: “Silver or gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the NAME of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). That Name caused a release of Strength into the crippled limbs: “…immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength” (vs.7). That Name is not a mere religious accolade on our lips, but a personal POSSESSION. Peter said, “such as I HAVE I GIVE I thee” (vs.6). You need to possess and be possessed by His Name. Peter ascribed the wonder-working power on display to nothing other than Faith in His Name (vs.16). His Name does miracles and wonders; it nullifies all forms of oppression (Acts 10:38). 

The Name of the LORD is a STRONG TOWER, an Institution of Power into which the righteous runs for safety (Prov.18:10). His Name is the Paragon of Power. Whenever you call upon or invoke that Name by faith, a strong tower is supernaturally erected around you. His Name is a Reservoir of anointing for signs, wonders, and miracles. In His Name believers are empowered to cast out devils, speak with new tongues, overcome satanic serpents and poisons, lay hands on the sick and have them recover (Mk.16:17-18). Anyone who believes has the authority, right and responsibility to appropriate that Name.

Beloved-in-Christ, you carry in your heart and mouth the Name that is loaded with Power to cut down every ‘Goliath’ to size, open prison doors, remove burdens, destroy yokes, subdue demons and terminate diseases and death. That miracle Name works. It answers to life’s challenges, reverses evil, and brings oppositions down. Let the Name of JESUS take over in your life. Begin to face the challenges of life with the Authority of the Name JESUS released from a heart of faith!
