POWER OVER WASTERS

Behold, I have CREATED the SMITH that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have CREATED the WASTER to destroy– Isaiah 54:16

 

The creator of a thing ultimately has Power over his creation. God created everything. The devil created nothing. Satan is a created being; he is constrained to operate within God’s defined boundaries. All that the devil can do is to manipulate what God has created; he cannot create his own. The devil simply feigns, deceives and manipulates; he tries to produce counterfeits of God’s originals. 

 

According to today’s meditation text, even wasters and destroyers were not created by Satan. God created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire, his operating tools, and the instruments of destructions – the waster – he fabricates. The blacksmith and his fabrications have no choice but to obey their ultimate Creator! What a mighty assurance! The One who created human beings who became diviners, occultists, sorcerers, witches and wizards has absolute power over these and all of their instruments of evil, terror and destruction!

 

Psalm 74:20b reveals that “the DARK PLACES of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.” There are dark and deep places of the earth where instruments of evil and tools of wickedness are continually being fabricated. We who believe in the Lord Jesus however have no reason to be afraid. Our Father-God has all things under His absolute control: “In His hand are the DEEP PLACES of the earth: the strength of the hills is His also” (Psa.95:4). Not one witch or wizard can lift a finger without the knowledge of the Lord God. “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’” (Deut.33:27, NKJV). We serve the God Who is able to waste the wasters and destroy the destroyer!

 

When you believe in the Lord, there is no room for fear and worry in your life. This is God’s power-backed promise to you: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me”, says the LORD (Isa.54:17, NKJV). In Christ Jesus, your life, times, resources and destiny shall never be raided, spoiled, vandalized or wasted.
