THE POWER IN PRAISE

Bible Meditation:
Psalm 66: 1-20

Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious…Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You– Psalm 66:1-3 (NKJV)

There is phenomenal power in praising God. Praising Him liberates you like nothing else can. It turns around captivity. It turns the oppression by the enemy into opportunity for God’s Glory to manifest. As you praise God, things are supernaturally handled from heaven’s ‘headquarters’ while you watch the events unfold before you. Prayers and fasting have their unique places in the Christian experience, but there are instances when the potency of praise could surpass the longest of fasts or the most fervent of prayers. The devil vehemently attacks your desire, determination, and devotion to Praise because he doesn’t want you to have the victory. Always complement your prayers with praises and thanksgiving.

Praising God, especially when it is least expected, confuses and subdues the enemy. When you praise God, the greatness of His power shatters the plans of the adversaries. When you make a joyful noise unto God and make His praise glorious, He’ll manifest the greatness of His power and cause His enemies to submit: Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You(Psa.66:1-3).

Praise makes the enemy flee. It pushes back the darkness that surrounds, and blocks the attacks and hissing lies against you. Evil cannot stick around when you are alive and vibrant in praises to your God – the One who fights your battles for you. In Jehoshaphat’s case, God miraculously defeated the enemy, because of the people’s obedience to praise Him. “As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated”  (2 Chr. 20:22). The same power will arise to defend you and to defeat your enemies.

Prayer:
Lord, as I choose to praise you devotedly, let Your power arise to defend my destiny and defeat my enemies, in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
