PRAISE AND GOD’S PRESENCE

But You are holy, Who inhabit the praises of Israel – Psalm 22:3

Praise invites God’s Presence. Praise is pleasing to His Presence. Praise gets God on the scene. It ushers in God’s manifested presence: “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel” (Psa.22:3, NIV). Psalm 100 is a beautiful and praise-full Psalm! It speaks of making a joyful shout to the LORD, serving Him with gladness, coming before His Presence with singing, entering His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with Praise! God draws close to you when you praise Him. 

God lives and manifests in the atmosphere of praises. He looks for Praise to inhabit and dwell in. God desires your whole heart. He longs for you to know the power of His Presence over your life. He desires to bless you more than you could imagine. His Spirit urges you onward, calling you closer. He wants you to look up, open your mouth, sing His Praise, and enjoy His Presence! When you encounter something or someone stronger than you, quit struggling; rather, begin to praise and celebrate God from the depth of your heart.  He will step in and all the devils will take flight!

Praise is the platform for God’s Presence. The Psalmist knew this; hence he spoke to his soul: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy.” (Psa. 103:2-4). The New Testament writer buttressed the same: "By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name" (Heb. 13:15). Whatever appears tough or difficult in your life is waiting for your release of praises to God.

Praise is an invitation that God would hardly turn down. Whenever praise rises up to Him, he steps in. To see God step into your affairs, just praise Him. Anytime you are shut in and there seems to be no way out, just praise God, and He’ll step in. If need be, He’ll send an earthquake or whatever is required to shatter the dungeon, the prison gates will give way, and you will walk out into liberty. This is your season to celebrate God. This is prime time to let Him handle your life’s affairs. Alleluia!
