Psalm 149: 1-9

Let the HIGH PRAISES of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand – Psalm 149:6

Here is Good News for every Believer – You can PRAISE YOUR WAY OUT of any negativity: Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand(Psa.149:6). As you offer God high praises, He will make a way out of no way! The swiftness and surety of your deliverance starts with how you respond to tough times and trials. Learn to thank and praise God not only when things are sweet and rosy, but also when times are tough. God wants you to show the extent of your faithfulness and trust in Him in the midst of challenges. Rejoice in Him who made you (Psa.149:2a). The power of your praise will determine the magnitude of your deliverance! The moment you decide to praise the Lord and give Him thanks, He will shake the foundation of every prison holding you captive and break every chain holding you bound!

Paul and Silas praised their way out of prison, with their bonds breaking and chains loosening. Praise involves showing respect, honour, and gratitude to God with your whole heart, spirit, mind, and body, despite the circumstances. Paul and Silas didn't wait until they experienced a breakthrough to praise God: “Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!” (Acts 16:25-26, NLT). In the midst of difficult circumstances, they praised God and received the breakthrough they desired.

When you have a heart for God and you know He loves you, your confidence in His ability to deliver you soars. You know without a shadow of doubt that help is on the way and you eagerly anticipate it. The Word encourages us: Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you(1The.5:16-18). Giving thanks to God in the midst of negative circumstances shows that you trust Him to bring you out of whatever negativity you might have found yourself. The storms of life will come; but they are not permitted to disturb your peace or adversely affect your thoughts and emotions. As you sustain an attitude of gratitude and a posture of praise, God will lift you out from every valley of discouragement, frustration, and self-pity, and set your feet upon the Rock (Psa.40:2).

When you’re in a situation and there seems to be no way out, open your mouth and praise the Lord – and don't stop. Instead of crying, complaining, and murmuring, give God praise because you know He has a plan for you that includes deliverance, restoration and peace. Thank Him for His goodness because your praise will stop the enemy and move the mighty hand of Jehovah! When the deliverance manifests, continue to praise the Lord because He has more in store for you. Thank Him for breakthrough in your home, on your job, on your ministry, and with your children. Through the authority in the name of Jesus, place a demand on your breakthrough and watch God show up in your life in ways you would have never imagined.

You can praise your way out of negativities of doubt, discouragement, and depression: I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart. (Psa.34:2, NLT). In times of discouragement, praise redirects your focus from the tough times to the faithfulness of God and His ability to see you through. Telling of His greatness may be the last thing you feel like doing when you’re discouraged, but it’s vital to your spiritual well-being because it expresses your trust in His care and sovereignty.

You can praise your way out of depression as you let God’s Word cheer your day and brighten your night. As you engage in High Praises to God in the everyday details of life – even when problems mount, disappointments come, and prayers seem unanswered – positive divine breakthroughs shall come your way!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
