Bible Meditation:
2 Timothy 1: 8-14

“For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day”” – 2 Timothy 1:12b

To PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS thrives on a PERSONAL REVELATION of God and His Word: “For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day” (2 Tim.1:12b). Paul, the apostle endured the trials of life and ministry unperturbed, persevered, persisted, and prevailed in prayer, by reason of his personal revelation of God and unique convictions in God’s Word and promises. A closer scrutiny of few of his prayers confirms this reality.

Prayers to Prevail in Ministry:

Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you STRIVE together with me IN PRAYERS to God for me, that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints” (Rom.15: 30-31).

“PRAYING ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints – And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel(Eph. 6:18-19).

“Night and day PRAYING EXCEEDINGLY that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith? (1 The.3:10).

Finally, brethren, PRAY for US, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you (2 The. 3:1).

Prayer for Strength: “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Eph. 3: 16-19).

Prayers for Increased Knowledge of the Lord, His Will, and His Love:

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him(Eph.1:17).

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, DO NOT CEASE to PRAY for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Col.1: 9-10).

Paul was a ‘Prevailer’ in Prayer! He prayed always, about every matter, fervently, earnestly, and based on God’s Word.

Jacob also demonstrated the posture to Pray-Until-Something-Happens. Jacob’s personal revelation of God inspired his faith to wrestle with an angel of the Lord throughout the night and to insist, “I will not let You go unless You bless me” (Gen. 32:26b). His relentless battle was hinged on his fresh revelation of God when he dreamt and saw a stairway connecting the earth to heaven, and the angels of God ascending and descending on it. There, he realised the Lord’s Presence, and that His promise covered him as a descendant of Abraham and Isaac (Gen.28:12-16)

Jacob’s audacity in prayer flowed from his encounter in Genesis 28: 16-17, “Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”

Beloved, what revelation of God are you standing on for your victory? Do you know Whom you have believed? The Revelation of God does not only boost our faith in God but also our confidence in whom we are in the Lord: “If God is for us, now can be against us?” (Rom.8:31b). Revelation is a solid ground to wage a relentless P.U.S.H. warfare.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
