THE PRIMACY OF FAITH (2)

“But without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE HIM, for he who comes to God must believe that He is...” – Hebrew 11:6a

The Faith Chapter in the Bible, Hebrews 11, speaks clearly to the PRIMACY of FAITH: “But without FAITH it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Heb.11:6). The God to whom nothing is impossible, says that “WITHOUT FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE” to PLEASE HIM! Whatever else one may possess, “without Faith” pleasing God will be a mirage. Everything about God and everything about our lives and destinies have to do with our Faith in Him. Faith is the foundation for the fulfilment of every vision. It is the Key for the realization of every mission.

Without Faith it is impossible to move God, and Jesus said, without Him, we can do nothing (Jh.15:5). This implies that without Faith, one is bound to fail. Faith is an Asset of great worth and inestimable value. FAITH is the DIVINE DEVICE through which we can lay hold on what God’s Power can do – the Power that works in us: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the POWER that works in us” (Eph.3:20). FAITH is the SPIRITUAL LINK between us and God that enables us to realize what God can do. FAITH is the relational BRIDGE between limited Man & Unlimited God. It is the vital spiritual CONNECTION with God that ensures the unlimited manifestations of His Purpose and Plan for our lives.

Faith is our Access into the Palace of Grace: “Therefore, having been JUSTIFIED by FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have ACCESS by FAITH into this GRACE in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God” (Rom.5: 1-2).

Faith is our Covenant Access into the Righteousness of God: “BY FAITH Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was RIGHTEOUS...” (v.4a). Same with Noah: “By Faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved... and became heir of righteousness which is according to Faith” (v.7). The Righteousness of God becomes a reality in us through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ: “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of GOD, THROUGH FAITH in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe...” (Rom.3: 21-22).  

Faith is our Connection with the Divine Nature! Our Lord Jesus Christ declared this truth: “If you can BELIEVE, all things are possible to him who BELIEVES... With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible” (Mk.9:23; 10:27). Faith connects the Believer to the Realm where “ALL THINGS are POSSIBLE” – the Realm of the Divine. When Faith is at work, we no longer operate within natural, human limits; we’re translated into the divine realm, to command results after the divine Order.

Faith ushers us into our Glorious Destiny in Christ: “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also justified; and whom he justified, these He also glorified” (Rom.8: 29-30). This glorious destiny begins with redemption; that is, the salvation of our souls, which comes by Grace through FAITH (Eph.2:8). Destiny begins with redemption. Redemption is made possible only through Faith.

Faith is our vital Access into the Palace of Grace, the Righteousness of God, Realms of Divinity and our Glorious Destiny in Christ!
