“…Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm”” – Luke 8:24b
Our Lord Jesus Christ gave us the Model of PROPHESYING DIVINE ORDER: “And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm” (Luke 8:24). Jesus was on a mission “to the other side of the lake” where a victim of spiritual and mental disorders – the Gadarene demoniac – was demonstrating glaring public display of disgrace. The Lord Jesus knew what was awaiting Him, yet He “launched forth” (v.22). If he was to move by sight rather than by faith, He would have been stuck!
Not long after the trip commenced, disorder arose on the sea: “there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy” (v.23b). Virtually from nowhere, “came down a storm of wind” – the invisible force behind the visible waves. While the frightful disciples were fretting and declaring fear-driven self-destruction – “Master, Master, we perish,” the Lord “arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm” (v.24). Matthew 8:26 described this as “a great calm”! Shortly after defeating the aquatic disorder, Jesus and His disciples encountered another disorder in the form of the deranged mind of a man that was filled with demons.
Disorder takes diverse forms, but God’s Power is more than able to deal with and defeat any kind of disorder. The Prophetic Word has a great part to play in gaining such Victory. Following from this month’s devotionals on the Perfection of Divine Order, let us switch into the realm of the Prophetic as we command the winds and waves of disorder to cease.
In Jesus name, I declare:
My Maker, Redeemer, and Father, is the God of Order and Peace: there is no chaos, confusion or disorder in Him.
The Supreme Commander of the Universe pre-planned all things in my life based on His established principles and patterns.
God has ushered me into the Perfection of Divine Order in all personal and collective aspects of my life.
As a Citizen of His Kingdom, all things shall be done decently and in order in all aspects of my life (1Cor.14:40).
God has established, and will maximise, perfect, and fully fulfil His Order in all facets of my life and destiny.
God is giving my life sound structure, appropriate arrangement, established form, and functional order.
In perfecting Order in my redemption, my Redeemer has predestined, called, justified, and glorified me (Rom.8:30).
My God is the Model of Order. Nothing is accidental, random or left to chance in divine scheme of my life.
My God will ensure that all events in my life fit into His purpose, plan, protocols, placing, timing, and details (Eccl.3:1).
My heart, mind, and life shall be established in peace amidst humanity’s seasons of instability, quakes, and shakings.
The firm foundation of God’s Word shall continually provide my needed comfort, solace, succour, and support (Mt.7:24-25).
The blessing of the well-ordered life is my heritage, and lines have fallen for me in pleasant places (Psa.16:6).
God holds my lot. My portions in Him are secured and cannot slip from His grasp or be snatched out of His Hand.
My life is properly aligned with God’s plan and purpose and I will never deviate from the path to lasting purpose.
The Lord is helping me to unclutter my thinking, rearrange my priorities, delete negative attitudes, and celebrate order.
As I meditate in God’s Word, I shall encounter His Order in all aspects of our lives:
Divine Order is established and perfected in my heart, mind, body, marriage, home, career, business, and ministry.
By God’s Word and Spirit, I am a Champion of Decency and Order in all domains of life and circles of influence!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
