Amos 3: 1-8

“Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the PROPHETSAmos 3:7

God will have His children learn to contend for THE PROPHETIC WORD: “Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the PROPHETS” (Amos 3:7). We must not take His Word for granted. The natural man likes Grace, but not holiness. The people could not expect communion with God, unless they sought peace with Him. Where there is not friendship, there can be no fellowship. God and Man cannot walk together, except in agreement. Unless we seek His glory, we cannot walk with Him – in Holiness and by Faith.

When a Prophetic Word is delivered from the Lord, people are often excited. This is because His Word brings the Lord’s fresh perspective and anointing to current events and situations. They provide hope, encouragement and direction – particularly when they include promises we eagerly await the fulfilment of, and which can affect our lives personally. However, prophetic words seldom come to pass automatically. If we’re waiting for a Word of the Lord over His Kingdom, the nation or our personal life to manifest, then we need to contend for it. Our actions, words and faith will help or hinder the fulfillment. Here are Three Ways to Contend for God’s Prophetic Word, to see it come to pass:

Keep the Word Before You: When we believe for something, we go to the Word and find a scripture to stand on in faith, write it down, and put it where we can keep that Word before us. Similarly, when we hear a prophetic word, the first thing is to write it down; then place it where we’ll read it daily so that the Word is kept before us – so we can review it daily, and thank God that it’s coming to pass.

Stand on the Word and Declare It (Jer.1:6-7). These imply speaking the Word only while waiting expectantly for its fulfilment. Once we receive a prophetic word, we must accept it by faith, hold on to it, and refuse to let it go. As we review the prophetic word daily, we must also pray over it in the Holy Spirit. He will give us further direction on how to pray it into the present. We have the power and privilege to use our authority in Christ Jesus to command the prophetic word into fulfilment, whether personal, for a group of people, or an entire nation.

Praise God for the Word Coming to Pass (2 Chr.20:22). No matter what we’re contending for, praise is a mighty weapon that breaks any stronghold. Once we’ve set ourself in agreement with God and His Prophetic Word and declared that it’s coming to pass, praising God perfects it. In the place of praise, we build ourselves up in our most holy faith, assured and confident that no matter what’s going on around us, His Word is coming to pass. Nothing will sway our faith.

Lord, help us to walk in agreement with You, contending by Faith and Praise for the PROPHETIC WORD to be fulfilled in our lives, in Jesus’ name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
