THE PURPOSE OF CHANGE

Bible Meditation:
Romans 8:14-30

For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren – Romans 8:29

Divine Change always fits into Divine Purpose. Purpose refers to the ‘Reason for Being’ of a thing or a person. God does not bring Change for the sake of change, for ‘show-off’, or out of boredom. Change is central to divine design. He designed change into creation. Life and time come in cycles and seasons of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, and millennia. Presidents, kings and rulers come and go, but the Eternal King of kings remains on His Throne!

In His Mercy, God continually gives us opportunities to change, repent, make amends, re-strategize, re-prioritize, re-energize, and rectify errors! He has programmed something fresh for each new day, week, month, and season of life! He guides us through uncharted paths and diverse processes of Change.

From a human perspective, change is imperative when any state, condition or situation is contrary to God’s Covenant, inconsistent with His Purpose, or out of alignment with Designed Destiny. For example, God programmed us to “be conformed to the Image of His Son”! He will cause us to change until we fall in line. Romans 8:29-30 outlines such change process: foreknowledge, predestination, calling, justification, and glorification. We were never made to maintain status-quo. Change is not easy and is often undesirable. We prefer to be left as we are, in our comfort zones, until we really see the need for change. God will persist in our change process until we manifest as His Masterpieces!

Our heavenly Father is however not only concerned with us experiencing Change IN our inner core, but also in our outward situations and environments. He changes us so that we can change our situations. He changes us that we may become His Change-Agents. Change is a key part of the divine Route to Revival. Men are God’s methods. When God has revival in mind, He changes and prepares a Person ahead, to carry His Presence and Power, until His Purpose is fulfilled. God uses His Word and Spirit to change us, so that we can change our ‘worlds’ for His Purpose and His Glory.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
