Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 40: 1-8

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough places smooth Isaiah 40:4

Attitude is a Choice: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the RENEWING of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Rom.12:2). After you are born-again, you need attitudinal reprocessing, a fundamental restructuring and transformation of your personality, to harmonize with the New Creation life in your spirit-man. Your mind is like a computer that needs re-programming from worldly thinking-patterns to “word-ly” patterns. The “construction site” of your soul needs to be cleared of slum structures of old negative attitudes, for new foundations of biblical, positive thoughts to be laid to support your new life. This is not a momentary occurrence, but a series of choices, decisions, and steps. What is the process to developing the right attitudes? Here are three simple steps to attitudinal reconstruction:

  1. Identify and Repent of Bad Attitudes: “Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you” (Acts 8:22).
  2. Submit Your Attitudes to God: Bring your attitudes into obedience to God’s Word. Apply discipline to your thought life by submitting your thoughts to Christ’s. A good and proper attitude is a matter of faith: disregard (not deny) your feelings; choose, decide and determine to embrace God’s outlook and disposition. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says: “casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...”
  3. Equip and Feed Your Attitudes: Dwell on the things that God’s word tells us to – good and virtuous things. If you dwell on the negative, your attitude will reflect the same. Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things.”

Reconstruction is not easy. Transformation is not always desirable. It is easier to maintain the status quo. People often prefer to be left as they are in their slum-state, until they really see the need for a change. Are you really desirous and passionate of being transformed? May the Lord open your eyes to see your dire need for reconstruction, in Jesus name. God is the Unchanging Changer; He need not change (Heb.13:8)! Jesus came to earth to transform eternal destinies! God changes us so that we can change situations. God’s key Agents of Change are: the Word and the Spirit. God’s Word comes to reconstruct our contexts. His Word brings fertility to situations of barrenness; freshness to situations of dryness; abundance to situations of scarcity, a beam of light in a valley of darkness; a ray of hope in situations of hopelessness. God’s Word renews your mind in order to transform your world for maximized impact!

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough places smooth (Isa.40:4). This is a picture of the divine “Reconstructor” in action! He who transforms marshy, water-logged valleys into beautiful landscapes and structures, will do the same in our lives. His ultimate intention is to reveal His glory through our individual, family and corporate lives. In order to do this, He will break every barrier on your pathway in destiny; but the highway of your heart must be yielded to the Lord. You cannot have your way and expect Him to have His way in your life. For you to be built-up, for your life to experience genuine divine re-construction, Jesus must be the Lord and the Saviour of your life. Are you ready for divine Reconstruction? Are you willing to be subjected to Divine Processing?

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
