The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy! – Dt.33:27
“…under His wings shall you take refuge…” (Psa.91:4b). Here, the Lord offers Himself as a bird with stretched-out wings to receive His children. He opens His bosom as a refuge from strong enemies in pursuit. God is known in the palaces of Zion for a refuge (Psa.48:3). Deuteronomy 33:26-27 describes the eternal God as your Refuge, as He “rides the heavens to help you, and in His excellency on the clouds.” Underneath His wings and “everlasting arms” you are secure from all harm. Again, the Psalmist sang: Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice (Psa.63:7).
In the most holy place, the wings of the cherubim were the most visible objects, and they probably suggested to the Psalmist the expression employed here. Those who connect with God are safe with Him, for the outstretched wings of His Power and Love cover them from all harm. The protection that the wings of the Omnipotent God provide is perpetual, unwavering, and all sufficient. No shelter is comparable to the cover and shield of His wings. What a shade in the day of extreme heat! What a refuge in the hour of the severest storms! The more closely you cling to His wings, the more confident you become in Him.
Under His wings, multiple blessings are conferred upon us. We are concealed from calamities; and protected from the attack of hawks and all powers of the air. Under His wings a wholesome shade refreshes us, wards off the overwhelming heat of the sun; and we are nourished. Moreover, God’s truth – His promise and His faithfulness to His promise – become our shield and buckler, the double armour of those who rely upon the Lord. As we go forth to battle thus equipped for the war, we shall be safe and secure in the thickest of the fight. It’s time to take refuge and begin to rejoice in the shadow of His wings!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
