Bible Meditation:
Acts 2: 14-33

Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the PROMISE of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now SEE and HEAR – Acts 2: 33

Yesterday, we meditated on the first Purpose of the Power that descended at Pentecost: to FILL the void in human lives. Other purposes are: to equip us as WITNESSES to a broken, sinful world and to DISPLAY and RELEASE the Glory of God through us. The Power of the Holy Spirit is not an inanimate force but a LIVING POWER that changes, transforms and revolutionizes lives. It was never meant to be a latent, passive power that is merely stored up within vessels of clay. For us to effectively display and demonstrate the Power of God’s Spirit to a waiting world, the alabaster box of precious ointment must be broken for its RELEASE (Mk.14:3). Only then can His Power have the greatest benefit and impact. Acts 2:33 testifies that the Promise of the Holy Spirit must be seen and heard: “He hath shed forth this, which ye now SEE and HEAR”!

As disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ and recipients of the promise of the Holy Spirit, we must learn to receive His Power, respond to it and release its impact to the world, starting from our Jerusalem. We must practice receiving, carrying and channelling the Presence and Power of God. In the Old Testament, this power was borne by the Israelites in the Ark of the Covenant; it was a “boxed-in” power; yet not ineffectual! From the day of Pentecost, God’s Presence and Power has been “poured out of the box” upon those who believe and confess Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

Through the awesome display of the Power of His Spirit as on the day of Pentecost, God reminds us and shows the watching world that He is everywhere, can do everything and can move through anyone to accomplish His counsel. Pentecost confirms Him as the God of the Nations and of the Universe, Who hears and understands all languages, and sent His Son to redeem people of all nations. Ultimately, the purpose of the Pentecostal Power is to display and demonstrate the Glory of God as we go forth as clear witnesses for the salvation of the world through Christ.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
