Bible Meditation:
Matthew 15:21-28

For His anger endures but a moment; in His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning Psalm 30:5 (NKJV)

It is good for us to be re-assured that our Father-God is always in control of our life’s affairs. Indeed, God took some fundamental decisions concerning you without your opinion. Have you considered that your family, parents, siblings, date of birth, place of birth, complexion, height, and various other attributes, were decided by God without reference to you? If He could take such crucial decisions concerning you, why doubt His ability to decide your tomorrow? Why not allow Him to order your steps into a fulfilling future. God cares about your yesterday, your today, and your tomorrow.

Isaiah 3:10 declares that it is well with the righteous. In Christ, your tomorrow is ordained to be great and glorious. Redemption leaves no room for regrets. Salvation has no place for anxiety. Once you commit yourself to God, you need not worry (2Tim.1:12). The LORD looks after His people. He asks you to cast all your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you (1Pet.5:7). He bears your burden; you need not bear them afresh. It is written that “weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.” If Joy is coming in the morning, why waste time worrying in the night?

In today’s meditation text, a woman of Canaan came to Jesus requesting for the healing of her daughter who was under severe demonic oppression. Though turned down initially, she persisted, refusing to accept defeat or to take ‘No’ for an answer. She refused to give up, but pressed by faith and diligence into her miracle. We are admonished to: “be followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Heb.6:12). Worthy of note is that she expressed her faith through WORSHIP: “Then came she and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, help me” (vs.25).

Through worship, the Canaanite woman found a way where there seemed to be none. Every barrier against the healing of her daughter and the restoration of her Joy had no choice but to give way! If a stranger to the covenant could experience restoration, how much more the covenant children of God! What is that potential source of anxiety in your life? You need not give in to perplexity. You can win over worry. God cares for you. He is your Need-Meeter. He is more than able to deal with whatever the enemy wants to use to oppress you. You can begin to blossom and flourish in your season of Restored Joy.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
