1 Corinthians 2: 6-16

But GOD has REVEALED THEM to us THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God– 1 Corinthians 2:10

A vital part of the Ministry of the Holy Spirit is the REVELATION of GOD’S HEART: “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But GOD has REVEALED THEM to us THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God” (1Cor.2:10-11). For us to know God more intimately, He has to reveal Himself in a form and fashion that we can understand.

Whatever is hidden in God, whatever is secret in God, whatever is inaccessible to us in God, He reveals in three main ways. First is through His Son Jesus Christ; second is through His Word – and Christ Himself is the Word in flesh (Jh.1:14); and third is, by the Holy Spirit helping us see and receive all that is in Christ. We cannot comprehend all of the truth that’s in God through reasoning from our human heart, mind, or imagination. We can sum it up as follows: The Father concealed Christ in a Mystery; the Holy Spirit reveals Christ in the Scriptures; we receive Christ by the Holy Spirit. God’s Wisdom has to be revealed to us, or we won’t get it at all!

Revelation is God’s disclosure of Himself; making Himself known to human beings. God reveals some aspects of Himself through creation, in both what we can observe about the natural world and about the human person. The creation attests to the existence of God the Creator, while the human person reflects God’s existence through the human soul. Both the world of nature and human reasoning attempt to imperfectly express and explain some truths about God. We can observe the world around us and draw a logical conclusion that God exists. Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” However, neither nature nor reasoning can fathom the depth of God’s Heart!

There are many important questions about God that man simply cannot figure out on his own by reasoning – questions such as who God is, what sort of God He is, what His overall purpose is in creating human beings, and what His Heart is like. For these reasons, God has chosen to make Himself and particularly His Heart known through Revelation – supernatural unveiling to the human spirit. The first created himan beings walked in the realm of revelation which manifested in an intimate communion with God, until the fall! Humanity fell from the lofty calling of dominion, as a result of which sin, spiritual blindness and death entered the world. But God did not give up on us. He chose the people of Abraham as His means of saving and restoring humanity. Through Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and series of covenants with His chosen people, God unfolded His plan of salvation and revelation, until Christ’s came.

God’s ultimate revelation is Jesus Christ, His Son (Heb.1:1-2). He is the fullness of the message of God’s revelation. There is nothing more or better that God would say that is not already embedded in Christ. Now, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, we are to continually grow in God’s knowledge and understanding. Paul, after many years in the faith, proclaimed knowing Christ as his life goal: “that I may know Him” (Phi.3:10a). This means in essence: I’ll keep seeking God in Christ until I see Him face to face – “for now we see in a mirror, dimly, burt then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known” (1Cor.13:12).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
