THE RULE OF PEACE

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful – Colossians 3:15.

The Prince of Peace has an eternal agenda: to pervade creation with the rule and reign of His Kingdom of Peace.

His secret of perfect Peace can be summarized in two statements:

1. A mind that is stayed on God (that stands on His Word)
2. A heart that trusts in God (that is sensitive to His Spirit)

Your possession of peace hinges on your attention to God’s Word – to the things Jesus has spoken, and the things the Holy Spirit is still speaking in this hour (Jh.14:25-27).

The Holy Spirit is the Provider of the peace that Jesus left for us:

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom.14:17). Peace is a fruit of the spirit; it is not manufactured by your mentality.

The Rule of Peace is attainable on Three Levels:

Level 1: Peace WITH God (vs.1) – Salvation

• But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
• Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (Romans 5:1).

Level 2: Peace OF God (vs.2) – Righteousness and Truth

• And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever (Isaiah 32:17).
• And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
• And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful (Colossians 3:15).

Level 3: Peace IN God (vs.3) – Perfect Peace

Only the God of Peace guarantees Peace in God!

• And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
• Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all (2 Thessalonians 3:16).
• Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen (Romans 15:33).
• And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen (Romans 16:20).

You were not born for depression of defeat, but for perfect peace. No matter the waters you are wading through and the fires you are forging through, God’s Word says “there is hope in your end” (Jer.31:17).
