Bible Meditation:
2 Corinthians 4:1-18

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

We live in a world of the natural. We rub shoulders with the physical, natural and mundane daily, until the unseen realm seems unreal. We are almost tempted to assume or even believe that the unseen realm doesn’t exist! Seen things in the visible world have become so real to some people that they have forgotten about the unseen and invisible.

The natural mind, hearing Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 would almost think that the apostle had lost his mind when he said, “Look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.” How on earth can you look at something you cannot see?

“The things which are not seen” refer to God’s unseen principles and laws which direct and govern creation; the principles of God’s Word, His unseen spiritual laws, His invisible but eternal and potent spiritual forces which always work whenever they are set in motion by faith.

The light affliction will produce an exceeding weight of glory in you only while you’re looking at (giving attention to) the unseen things – the realities of the spirit realm – rather than the ‘seen’ challenges, and visible conflicts and problems you are confronted with daily. It is actually the looking at the unseen that brings the weight of glory, not the mere pressure of the affliction!

It is time for you to change focus and shift attention from the natural into the realm of supernatural realities where spiritual laws operate. With the eye of faith – the eyes of the spirit – begin to ‘look’ at things which are not seen with the natural eye. Take your eyes off the ‘seen’ sickness and place your faith in the invisible God and His Word that heals. Shift focus from the surrounding financial lack unto God’s promises of provision and prosperity. Get your mind off the problems and begin to think on the unseen things you desire. The Word of God is teaching you to see the solution rather than the temporal problem!

Prayer:
Lord, help my faith to focus on the unseen spiritual realities rather than the ‘seen’ challenges and conflicts, so that the light afflictions I confront will produce exceeding and eternal weights of glory!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
