Bible Meditation:
Psalm 27: 1-14

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord – Psalm 27:14

WAIT! Wait! Wait on the Lord! He alone is worth waiting on and for. The Lord will never deny or disappoint the waiting soul. Let your waiting be on the Lord, not on man. “Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils…” (Isaiah 2:22)

It does not matter the magnitude of the enemies and foes arrayed against you, keep up your spirit while waiting on the Lord. Can you say with David: “The Lord is the STRENGTH OF MY LIFE; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Focus on the Lord, hold on to your expectation of a great deliverance, and be ready to praise God for it. “…I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord” (Psalm 27:6).

The promise of waiting is sure: “He shall strengthen thine heart.” This delves straight to the root of all human problems, the place where you really need help – your HEART! The heart is where it matters most. If the heart is sound, all the rest of the system will work well. Paul prayed to our Father-God that we be “strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man” (Ephesians 3:16). The heart thirsts for calm and cheer; and both of these derive from God’s strengthening of it. Only a strengthened heart can rest, rejoice, and thrust energy into the rest of man’s constitution and make him whole.

No one else – but the Lord – can access that secret urn of life, the heart, so as to pour strength into it. He alone who made it can make it strong. God is full of strength, and therefore, He can impart it to those who need it, as He imparts Himself in us – for He Himself becomes our Strength, Song, and Salvation. “…for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation (Isaiah 12:2).

Beloved, you can face the new day, the new week, and the new month with a brave, bold and courageous heart, in the strength of the Lord. You can be calm in the storm and confident in the tempest, knowing that the Lord is nigh to impart His strength to you.

Never forget the Psalmist’s injunction: “WAIT, I say, on the Lord.” In my brief sojourn on this side of eternity, I also can SAY it, because I know that it is good and rewarding for me to wait upon the Lord. Therein is the unending SUPPLY of STRENGTH to my HEART!

Prayer:
O Lord, my Strength, my Song, my Salvation, please strengthen me with might in my inner man, that I may be brave, bold, courageous and victorious in all battles of life and ultimately receive the crown of life in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
