John 10: 1-18

“…I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it more abundantly” – John 10:10b

God – in the Person of Jesus Christ – came to provide SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY of LIFE: “…I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it more abundantly” (Jh.10:10b). This higher level of life is for everyone who is born of the Spirit of God. We are redeemed to exhibit God’s nature in daily life. Jesus came on a mission to restore humanity from a perishing state, to the life of God which was lost in Adam. Through the new birth, we can now live supernaturally on earth:we can live beyond the ordinary through divine grace. We can live by the power of God that is at work in us (Eph.3:20).

The New Testament speaks of “life” in three senses. Three difference Greek words translated as “life” are: bios, psuche, and ZOE, and each has a different meaning. Here are examples of where each is used:

BIOS, in Luke 8:14: “…cares, riches, and pleasures of life…” – refers to the life of the physical body and is where we get the word biology.

PSUCHE, in Matt. 16:25: “For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it…” – refers to the psychological life of the human soul – the soul-life – that is, the mind, emotion, and will. It is where we get the word psychology.

ZOE, in John 1:4: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” and John 10:10. This refers to the uncreated, eternal life of God, the divine life uniquely possessed by God.

The Bible is all about Zoe! From Genesis, God’s Word presents the tree of life, signifying the divine, uncreated, incorruptible, indestructible, eternal life of God (Gen.2:9). In the Garden of Eden, God gave this tree of life to Adam as food before he fell and sin entered into the picture. The tree of life is seen again at the end: “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the TREE of LIFE, and may enter through the gates into the city(Rev.22:14). The tree of life being mentioned in the first and last books of the Bible illustrates that the ZOE-life is a central theme in the Bible. God wants us to partake in His eternal life that it might become our real life and we can express Him through our living.

Christianity is Christ living His life through the believer, by the Power of His Spirit. Paul said: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself form(Gal.2:20). The Lord Jesus walked on the earth in purity and power. He lived by supernatural principles, without a sense of lack or the crisis of need. He was always in charge of circumstances. When He fed the five thousand with five loaves of bread and two fishes, He simply blessed them (Mt.14:17-20). The Greek word used for “blessed” – “eulogeo” – infers that He invoked the ability to prosper into the food – an invocation of power to multiply.

As Christians, we’re to follow in the steps of the Lord, submitting for Him to live His life through us. Paul also had no sense of lack or crisis of need. He declared: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” (Phil.4:13). In essence: “circumstances do not control me; I control them! Situations never catch me unawares; I take charge and direct them to fall in line with God’s Will, by faith.” That’s supernatural living! Paul assures every believer: “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phi.4:19). What a mentality!

The best edition of the Holy Scriptures is a Christian manifesting a consistently loving, pure, and powerful life. God wants to translate His supernatural Book into the living experience of all of His children. When someone said to Sir Walter Scott that he was going to write a book, he answered, “Be a book”!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
